Help have booked the cheap thorpe park tickets but stupidly booked entrance for 13-14 august at the end of the olympics so I doubt I am going to get a cheap hotel. I have had a look at the friends and family rate and the 2 for 1 but am not sure how to work the best deal for 3 nights.
If anyone can point me in the direction of a cheap deal night of 12th to check out 14th or 15th I would be grateful. More for my daughter's sake than mine, we were only having a short caravan break at Easter this year but my mum has been seriously ill in hospital since Boxing Day and my daughter has had an awful Christmas, New Year and birthday. It also looks like we may have to cancel the cheap Easter break we had booked as my mum had several seizures over a week ago and although she is breathing independently hasn't come round.
I don't usually give a sob story on here but could really do with a bit of help if anyone knows of a cheap place to stay 12-14 august near thorpe Park, thanks - 2 adults, 1 child aged 11.0 -

Have you considered Travelodge? Not as nice, certainly, but Teddington has the nights you need for just £19 at the moment if you can travel a few miles from there.
As you say, the Olympics have bumped up all the prices, but £19 looks a bargain.0 -

Sounds good will check that out now, was hoping for a holiday express for the free breakfast, lol.
Have plenty of time to search while sat up hospital but Internet connection is rubbish.
Still can't believe I was stupid enough to book 13th and 14th entrance!0 -

Would love the 3 nights of 12th, 13th, 14th but 12th not available.0 -
You could look at the Innkeepers Lodge as family rooms from £49 and includes breakfast for the dates you want. There are 3 Innkeeper lodges within a 20 minute drive.
Holiday Inn at Woking but no breakfast is £66 for the nights you want using the 3 nights for 2 selection (select on the right).

Thank you all, I have booked 3 nights in the Teddington travel lodge with breakfast for the 3 of us for £100. Will keep an eye on the Sunday night before as well in case it drops in price.
Can I just check Teddington isn't in the congestion zone is it? (it's ok I don't drive hubby does, lol)?
Also it mentions parking as an extra cost, anyone know how much a day usually to park at a travel lodge.
Thanks again for all your help.0 -

You're right - it's not in the London Congestion Zone. Several miles from it, in fact.
Not sure about the parking cost, but this might be a rough guide (from the Kew Bridge Travelodge):
Parking Details
Britannia Parking Ltd operate the hotel car park on behalf of Travelodge. Parking is charged as listed below.
Midnight to 15:00hrs
1 hr £1
2 hrs £2
3 hrs £3
4 hrs £4
24 hrs £5
15:00 - 12 Noon next day
£5 Evening & Overnight rate
Not ideal, but I think the deal you managed to get was an excellent one, given the outrageous prices being charged anywhere near London at the time you're going.
