Some things are cheaper in the pound shop?

The ones in the supermarkets are boxes of 12 not 9, and I would never ever pay £2.19 for them, I wait for them to go on offer then stock up.I saw packets of Quaker Oatso Simple in Poundworld for £1. It was the variety 9 pack, which retails in most supermarkets for £2.19. Also a 750g box of Quaker oats as well. Supermarkets sell a 1kg pack for £1.75.You live..You learn.:)0 -

Has anyone ever bought electricals/cables in Poundland?
I bought a Samsung Data Cable there but 4 months later, I can't use it anymore.
Some days ago, as I was removing it from the phone, the connecting section fell into pieces, making it unusable.
I also bought a 4-port USB which said 2.0, but I think it's 1.0, because sometimes when I connect something to it, my laptop warns me, saying if I used a 2.0 port, the device will walk faster.
Just wanted to know some other forum members have had some of these issues.
Of course, one might say that I shouldn't expect much for such a low price.
But I would still expect them to last at least 6 months to one year.
And if it says 2.0, I wouldn't expect it to be 1.0.0
