Hope no-one minds, but I've noticed the "F" word a few times this month ...... so I'd just like to say that IMHO:
NO-ONE EVER FAILS ......
Even by taking part and not meeting target, we're making positive steps towards running our households in a more efficient and MSE way!
Life happens, sometimes an unexpected visit by friends/family or really good offer that will save money in the long run will come along that we've not catered for in our budgets - that's not failure.
I'm sure we're all spending a lot less than we would be if we weren't taking part!;)
Trixie - hope everything's OK & look foward to "seeing" you in November.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Well done to everyone on here. Im reading and making notes. I am currently not buying any food for myself from SM as I am doing LL, which although its costing me a fortune (£72 a week), its really paying off. Ive lost 41lbs in 9 weeks. I hope to be finished by mid to end of November. Whilst Ive been doing it, ive still been cooking for DH, however, the takeaways which used to occur sometimes twice a week have stopped, and also, DH has cut his drinking hugely. :j
Keep up the good work everyone. Have to say, I love this site. :TMy Husband calls me a money pervert :A0 -

Oh Dear, Oh Dear, I'm not doing too well at all this month - I can only blame the OS'rs for this. I have now got into the mind set of being unable to walk past what might be considered a bargain, In fact I am going out deliberately looking for them.
Happily my cupboards are all full of things that I will use regularly and .... eventually :rotfl: My small freezer has a good mixture of cooked L/O meals and frozen chicken/beef, but this philosophy has got me WAY over my budget for this month and there are still another two and a bit weeks to go. So I'm going to go back to what my parents instilled in me in as much as "ITS NOT A BARGAIN UNLESS YOU NEED IT"
Anyway in saying that I probably wont need to go shopping for quite a number of weeks and plan my meals around what's in stock - thats the bit I have not yet got to grips with - keeping enough in stock and buying freshJan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
July - Grocery spends = £119.54
Aug - Grocery spends = £0
