    Wednesday 31st August

    Hmm not doing well - in minus figures already. Thankfully still have a few hundred from the loan and my personal money to make up the negative amounts.
    On the plus side am getting lots of the kids/ families birthday/ christmas pressies on half price or less which coupled with the added benefit of not having to find lots of cash come December.

    Listed a few bits to sell on local sites but no joy yet.

    Added to the pressie pile today with 3 bargains from Boots:
    3 x lego bits = £14.83 (taken direct from my personal money).

    So new breakdown:

    Earnt: £1.61 Asda voucher (due to another supermarket being cheaper)
    £10 leisure voucher recievd from consumer pulse.

    Spent:

    Food shopping = £0/ £18.45
    Baby shopping = £0/ -£0.13
    Other essential shopping (cleaning products etc) = £0/ £3

    Random = £0/ -£87.70

    Days out = £0/ £10

    meals out/ takeaways = £0/ £6.71
    Clothes = £0/ £0
    Presents (birthday/ Christmas) = £0/ -£12.34 (£14.83 from personal money)

    Total spent: £0 + £14.83 personal
    Total available to spend = -£7.96 (plus my £63.17 personal money)

  • Thursday 1st September (only 115 sleeps till christmas)
    Had to get toddler wiggle some jogging bottoms for his potty training (discovered all his trousers have a button and need a belt which is making it awkward) £6 (for 2). And tinywiggle is getting cold at night despite a growbag he still manages to pull his covers off so £15 later (OUCH!!) he is now the proud owner of 2 padded babygrows... i the next size up for maximum usage.

    Popped to the new poundland (it opened today would be rude not to). Got 2 cars 2 pencil cases to put the cars pressies in I got for birthdays. A pair of socks for hubby for christmas. A wipeclean/ reusable reward chart for toddlerwiggle and a pack of hughmungus chewits to keep him quiet on the tram. (£5)

    Had an hour to kill waiting for hubby to finish work so took him to a play centre to burn off energy. (£2.50 + £1.50 drink/ choccy)

    Paid out of my 'personal money' so as not to negative any further.

    Total money spent:
    £30.

    Week 3 - a summary

    Rather an expensive week, but the house defo looks better for it.

    I've missed a few £ here and there while adding up so the below totals do not equal the above added up (but aren't far off).

    Am impressed at only coming in £25 over budget - it woud have been more but I used personal money. When I have worked out what is left from the loan (which I should be able to do now) I think I will refund myself for the house stuff.

    Earnt this week:

    £1.61 Asda voucher (due to another supermarket being cheaper)
    £30 leisure voucher's recievd from consumer pulse.
    £10 selling a perfume I won't wear
    £10 paypal payment from "my surveys/ lightspeed"

    Cash Expenditure:

    Food shopping = £32.55 (target £40)

    Baby shopping = £20.13 (target £20)

    Other essential shopping (cleaning products etc) = £7 (target £10)

    Random = £66.55 (£30 target)

    1 Family Trips (Swimming) = £10 (£20 target)

    2 meals out/ takeaways = £15.79 (£20 target)

    Clothes = £0 (Target £0)

    Presents (birthday) = £32.34 ( £20 target)

    TOTAL: £184.86 (£160 Target)
    Overspend: £24.46

    Vouchers or points used:

    £20 Leisure Vouchers used towards meal out.

    Didn't really stick to the meal plan but didn't actually buy anything to compensate (just found other stuff in the freezer).
