  • £8 from MSing for me today. Got some eBay ending in a few hours, so hopefully will make a little bit from that! :)

  • Nothing to add - but have come on to shame myself back into frugal-dom. Today was meant to be my first day fully back into my MSE ways. I was given a ring for my birthday that was too small - couldn't think of anyone to give it to, so took it back to exchange it for something that I could use or give to someone (so far, so MSE) but when I got there I fell in love with and bought a beautiful necklace that cost £25 more... :o:o:o - I really didn't need another necklace & I'm a bit annoyed at myself for getting carried away.

I've decided not to return it as it would require a special journey that would cost me over £7 in fares and take an 1 1/2 hrs (just happened to be up that way today) so I'm going to look at it as a lesson - can't believe how easy it has been to fall off the wagon & how hard to get back on.... :o

With the likes of eBay - are you putting down the price you sold the item for (without postage) in full or with the fees taken off?

I take absolutely everything off, and keep it on a spreadsheet so that the ebay and paypal fees are pre-calculated in the columns and I can just drag them down. I also take off postage and envelope costs to get me down to an actual profit. Sometimes its depressing (I sold a book and after all fees, postage and packaging ended up with 6p!!! But thats my own fault - should try other places for book sales!)

I'm that much of an excel geek I even build in the figure I am aiming for each month, a formula to calculate how far I am off it - in £ and %
I sound really ebay obsessed and sad now...
    1% challenge - Started Feb 2014. Cap1 card £1,073.42

Does anyone collect the Coinks points?

Did you know you can convert them into cash if you are collecting the Andrex puppy points?

CashPot is a fantastic way to save cash when you buy a product that carries a unique Coinks® code. Here's how it works in a nutshell:
You purchase products that carry our codes
When you enter codes on this service you'll receive points. The type and number of points you receive will depend on the product you purchased
You can use points on rewards, on competitions, or you can use them to increase your CashPot
CashPot is designed to provide consumers, who regularly collect points, with a cash alternative.
Typically, 1 point can be used to add 1 penny to your CashPot. However, the exchange rate can vary depending on the type of points you've collected. The exchange rate for each type of point can also go up and down. The exchange rates are published every Monday and are fixed for 7 days.
Once your CashPot reaches £3 you can request payment of the whole balance of your CashPot
You can choose to be paid by electronic bank transfer or by cheque.
With an electronic transfer direct to your bank account, there is no charge. We will need your bank account name, your bank account number and the sort code. This data is encrypted and held securely on our systems.
Alternatively, you can choose to be paid by cheque. There is a 150 pence deduction to cover banking and adminstration fees.
For security reasons, you can only register one bank account and you cannot share a bank account with another member of Coinks®. If the bank account you use is being used by another then this could prevent or hold up your payment
Once you have requested a payment, the amount will be placed in a payment requests account.
You can review the status and progress of your payment requests, at any time, by via the CashPot Balance option in the menu on the left.
For security reasons, we analyse each payment request, normally within one working day. The vast majority of payment requests are marked as accepted immediately and no futher action on your part is necessary. Otherwise, the payment request will be marked as on hold and we'll email you requesting that you send us one or more codes as proof of purchase. So please ensure that you keep all your codes just in case
If a request for payment is placed on hold, we will need to recieve the requested proof of purchase within 90 days, or the payment request will be forfeit.
If we receive the codes, before 90 days, the payment request is marked as accepted.
All payment requests that are accepted, earlier than 10 days from the month end, are paid on the first working working day of the next month. For example, funds that clear on the 18th September would be paid out on the 1st October
All payment requests that are accepted, wihin 10 days of the month end, are paid on the first working working day of the subsequent month. For example, funds that clear on the 25th September would be paid out on the 1st November.
Once payment is made we will mark the payment request as paid and deduct the amount from your CashPot.
You can continue to exchange more points to increase your CashPot and receive additional payments.
  • Hi, could I join for £5 a day please?
