pecans and honey flakes, but to be honest, it wasn't terribly good.
It sound like it should be good. And I'm not too proud for granny style anything....;)
Duck has escaped into the sitting room(where his crate is). So I've cleaned it out and put food in and I think I'm in for a long wait this morning.0 -
carolt spoiled the thread by asking for no knob/screw jokes:D
BTW did you know that in current slang, screwing means arguing? I didn't. I remember in my second job hearing 2 young residents telling each other that another 2 residents were screwing on the landing  Of course, the slang phrase has different connotations to me.:o
On the school front, at my school I can recall boys having a netball session one day, and also playing hockey. I can recall the girls playing football (though virtually all the girls didn't want to). There was also mixed volleyball, badminton and tennis etc.
We also ahd to swap over between Tochnical Drawing & textiles, doing half a year in each subject. The other we had to swap in was Craft/Design?technology & Home Economics. Again these classes were mixed too. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

They tried to get us to play foot ball at school. Oddly, girls who ran headlong towards other girls brandishing hockey sticks ran squealing from footballs. I hid behind a bigger, stronger, braver girl for a cold hour. I loved netball. I wish though we'd done more stuff like yoga and aerobics, things we could still do at home alone as adults before/afterwork while still young enough to have the routines ingrained in our minds, not needing to faff around with dvds. (the cats have knocked our dvd player..recently unpacked behind the tv nd the tv is too heavy for me to move to retrieve it.0 -

My council has just announced cuts in library opening hours and school transport.:(
AIUI cuts have to go to public consultation, so you should be able to voice your opinion on this, though having said that finances are between a rock and a hard place so library hour cuts may still go through anyway. In reality, no LA will know exactly what cuts it will have to make until Wednesday when the CSR results are announced. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? You are correct. There is a 3 month consultation period. But these are the areas that they have announced should be cut.
For libraries they have announced that cutting opening hours will mean they can retain the libraries and mobile libraries to remote areas. For school transport they will stop providing the services; very few people will in future qualify for free school transport and they will no longer provide the routes. All the buying of "spare" seats on the council services will go.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Has anyone else suffered what my email told me I had this morning?
Apparently someone tried to hack into my mse account 5 times this morning, before being 'locked' out.
Wonder who that was?
Never happened to me before - anyone else?
Should add, in case they succeed - if someone posting as me starts posting some very uncharacteristic stuff, then be aware... :eek:0
