Hi Mike. I must have re-read your latest threads a dozen times. It occurs to me that they must have had a cancellation to have got around to you so quickly, that or they cancelled another in favour of you. You are so lucky. Another thing that is so exciting and I experienced this with my builder a few years ago, other people CAN have better ideas than you, they can be more modern, more stylish etc. and the end result can turn out to be better than you yourself could have planned. THAT is the icing on the cake I think that you can look forward to. Whatever it is going to be world changing - lie back and think of England.

Got to agree with you Janet......Plus they'll have a bigger budget!! :D

Really pleased that the boys might once again enjoy the 'shiney things' that they had to miss out on the last 2 years at Christmas because of Bridle, they deserve it! ;)

I'm sure it going to be FAB! :T

BUT.....No time to lie back thinking of England yet......get your a55 to the council & get the building regs sorted!...............please!:p

Hope everyone's well, I'm still watching (and laughing!) but not much time to post just now, buried in paperwork!!!:(

    :hello: Later! X

That's EXACTLY what mummy used to tell me too.

And you're right. I have lots of ideas but given the choice of two curtains will always choose the ones I like rather than the ones that go with the carpet. Staying at weekend cottages or hotels (back in the day) always made me dissatisfied when I got back home. This is just such a fabby offer I will accept anything, but I think Julia knows a lot more about this stuff than I ever will.

Spent the afternoon with the council building regs dude. All OK and while one thing I was having kittens over apparently isn't even an issue, there's a few other things which I must sadly hand over to the SOS project manager to sort out.

The council dude's here tomorrow morning to give it the once over. I'm sure everyone gets the same treatment even if the beeb's not planning to interview them...

    Not!

OK peeps - here we go. The producers of DIY SOS would like names and phone numbers of anyone who is

A... available to make their way to Littlehampton between June 9 and 18 to help out

B... available on the 18th for the big reveal thing (the day isn't set yet)

C.... available and happy to be interviewed on camera about the MSE thread aspect, generally drool over Nick Knowles (or whichever one you like the look of)

Please send me an email at onthecoastnow@live.co.uk with your name and number and put in the subject box A, B or C. I'll forward them all to the show to make contact or otherwise.

Who they contact is up to them. I shall be elsewhere! (In fact it occurs to me that I will have to wait to see the programme to know what actually went on! How unfair is that?

    Thanks

    Mike x

:D Wow Mike - the time to make some decisions. Will email tomorrow. Don't worry too much, when its all over you can dine out on this for years to come, and bore the back teeth off everyone you meet for yonks.

I think I am almost as excited as you must be. To quote that famous and lovely A Team " I love it when a plan comes together". :j

Sleep well - if you can!!

Seems most decisions have been lifted off my shoulders for the time being.

    A huge weight.
