??? Sorry, I don't understand what you are saying at all.
MBNA is the same as Virgin. They are both from the same MBNA family.0 -
What is the MBA Platinum? Different to Virgin? I believe 3 months free to pay off from balance transfer charges?0
-
Each MBNA and Virgin have their own range even though the money come from the same source.
What are you looking for? Can you give us the whole story? You just keep going on about something and expecting us to see into your head to see what you mean and what do you want to do with it.
Tell us - what are you after? Balance Transfer? From which card? And what other cards do you hold? (because for example you cannot transfer balance from Virgin to MBNA or other way round, because as already said they are from the same family).0 -
Cahoot card four grand on it Want to transfer balance and also possibly bank overdraft too. Which card to go for? This one looks good MBNA 6.7% for life, fee-free. Top long-term card if you'll take under four years to repay If you can repay the whole debt within four years of switching, the cheapest option is MBNA's* Platinum Plus Amex card, at 6.7% APR for the life of the balance. As long as you do the transfer within 60 days of applying, there's no fee, making this super-cheap. However I also have looked at the Natwest card which also looks OK as I have a NW account too but they refused last week but that was my hardly any moey in account Im trying again today but wanna know which of these is really best as you lot seem pretty savvy number techiesEach MBNA and Virgin have their own range even though the money come from the same source.

If you want a credit Card for balance transfer and overdraft and having already an Egg card then the only option would be an MBNA, either the Virgin/MBNA with a 0% for 16 months or if you can't repay within that time then take an MBNA LOB you mentioned and switch again to a 0% credit card. You also have Barclays which offer rate like 6.9% for life of balance but they won't allow you to transfer fund to your account at promotional rate. If you applied to Natwest already last week, then no point applying to them again and beware of number of searches you've had recently as lenders could see that you are desperate to get credit0 -
As you already have £4k on credit card, chances are that you will not get limit high enough to also clear overdraft, but there is no other option then to wait and see.
Did NatWest say that they wouldn't apply for the card, or did you actually apply and had the credit search done and they turned you down?
What is your credit history like? Ie did you ever miss any payments or any other defaults?
Trying to get to the bottom of why NatWest refused you.
Did you apply for any other cards then the NatWest in past 6 mths?
Personally, I would go either for Virgin 16mth 0& or for MBNA 6.9% LOB.
The question is, whether you would manage to repay within the 16mths period?? If not, the MBNA might be better option.0 -
Yes Natwest did computer search in bank when I wa there refused and gir said they have to wait three mnths to try again My remortgage is all paid back from house sale and only applied Natwest witi past six months missed couple remorgage paymentsAs you already have £4k on credit card, chances are that you will not get limit high enough to also clear overdraft, but there is no other option then to wait and see.
