Haven't created any note cards yet............managed to find some pretty sets in the charity shop -some were rustic type landscapes and the others were victorian ladies, some with children. I googled 1920's fashion and found some but they weren't really big enough. They need to be postcard size when I print them out, I;ve got some cheap white card from woolworths that would do the job. So, anything with little children on it thats vintage might be nice.
I have got one more easter card to do.......did a retro sweet box for ex foster lad and a card -but feel I ought to do a card for his girlfriend as well as giving her some chocolate I got.

Yours cards are really lovely, Polly, you have done a fantastic job of them, very personal and unique, love them lots.

Ellionic: Those wedding invites would look really good and shouldn't be hard to make. You can buy A4 ivory card and fold it yourself but it isn't easy to get it exactly right, I would try on the internet. As for the heart, it isn't quite clear from the picture if the hearts have been partially cut out but I would use a punch and stick the heart over the ribbon to keep it in place with foam pads. They would look so good with a really striking colour ribbon, well done for finding such a lovely design.

Thanks alot for you help polly1976 and mumoftwo i sent off for a sample of this card and the heart on the card is embossed on with a couple of little slits either side for the ribbon i thought someone might of seen cards like this so i could just do the slits myself will try and get to craft shop tomorrow to see if i can get sorted.

Here it is: a simple card for women. And since you were talking about fiscars edge punches, I used one here. I used peel offs which I coloured in, I filled in the petals with 3d paint stuff that puffs up when it dries. Just cut a bit of card in shape of a vase and decorated with peel off. I didn't add a Happy Birthday or anything because this way I can decide when I need it who and what it is for.

Thanks mumoftwo its really nice cant wait to get a border punch now they just make it a little bit more special dont they and i love the peel offs you have used. Thanks again.:j :T
  • Wow - mumoftwo. That is so beautiful and you make it look so easy. Where is the best place to buy the puffy paint? Is it difficult to keep the puff paint inside the peel off - I'm sure it would 'splurge' everywhere if I had a go!
    Thanks for the inspiration.

I bought my puffy paint in a craft shop, they cost a few pounds but lasts for ages, it comes in a small bottle with a tiny nozzle, so easy to use and it is very thick. They are great to use with peel offs, I used yellow puffy paint on the easter chick card, picture further up this thread, it gives a lovely texture to your card.

Lovely card................I realy must get one of those border punches. All I've got is the normal 'office' type hole puncher and some ''wavy line' scissors.
Lovely card mumoftwo...........just might have a go at that

My son got me a kiddies water colour set for my birthday -just for a bit of a laugh and there were some puffa paints in it........I did a card for him and use it but did get in a bit of a pickle..............don't think I put enough puffa paint on really............hadn't thought of using it on other cards.
