You people really should llok at what is going on, at the end of every self scan till there is a screen which lets the "supervisore" see what is happening on each till and they do hace CCTV as wel.0

I wouldn't really use the self-scan to try and get away with more coupons than you think they would accept otherwise - especially coupons you know may well scan but they don't accept i.e specific item coupons from specific other supermarkets when they only accept total spend from other supermarkets. Abusing the system in this way is just goign to highlight the issue and make store managers even more likely to use what discretion they have to put a stop to what they can.0

I fully support this approach - play the long game.
It's pointless seeking "policy statements" and demanding that supermarkets accept couponns - they don't have to.
Quite rightly, local store managers have discretion regarding how they operate their store on non-critical areas - and certainly coupon acceptance is not a critical area - thankfully, the private sector does not have a presciptive rule book like British Rail and the Civil Service used to have.
However, the more that Head Offices are bombarded for policy statements, if you think it through, the only result can be a reduction in the number of coupons accepted where the product is not purchased.
Certainly my local Tesco will now only accept one coupon where the product is not purchased - they have been getting hassle from customers demanding that they take a fistful of coupons - there is only one inevitable result from such hassle, and I don't blame them.
Half time result: Sporting Club de Pragma 1, Athletico de Dogma 1.
But remember, the ref can end the game at any time where there is unruly crowd behaviour!!
P.S : I can't get my clothes in the wardrobe, it's full of shredded wheat bite size.0 -
