Thanks, but shouldn't this be in the Try Me Free Hunt sticky?

Found a new Taste Guarantee today on Clarence Court Eggs - found mine in Sainsbury's.

Clarence Court Eggs are "old fashioned" breeds - there are a few varieties, but I found the offer on Old Cotswold Legbar eggs in a blue box.

Found these yesterday in Sainsburys. I've yet to use them, so I don't know whether they'll taste better than normal eggs, but I feel a bit bad about doing the tmf. I checked out their website, and I can't argue with their stance on animal welfare, but they're much more expensive than the free range eggs I usually buy,and that would probably put me off buying them again. I don't know what to put on the application, as saying the cost puts me off sounds like I don't value animal welfare!
It's times like this that I appreciate the tmfs that just ask for your opinion on the product, rather than what you didn't like about it!

Wilkinson's free WD40 pen try me free offer is back (it does work - see this).

Description [originally posted here by happyhunter]:

"Special packs of WD40 PEN has a 'try me free' voucher attached on the front.

You can send it off with till receipt to the address provided and they will post back the cost + old 2nd class postage (£1.99 + 21p)...."

Make sure to buy the ones with the free offer.

    The pen looks like this:

Basically you buy the produce, send the receipt to the company and get a refund.
Except we tore up the receipt by mistake into a couple of pieces. We managed to stick it back together again, but will the company still accept it?

Has anyone had experience with this, sent of a ripped receipt and still got their money back?

The offer in question is the actimel 1 month free offer which requires me to send off multiple receipts at one time. So if I was to send my torn up receipt and it was not accept I would invalidate all the other receipts (as it wouldn't meet the minimum required anymore).

I'll probably ask this again in the TMF board, but would like some comments here.
I could simply buy another extra pack for the receipt, but they are too expensive (, and that's after it's being half priced at Sainsbury).

  • Does anyone have the post code to send off for the Clarence Court Eggs? When I took the label off the carton, part of the carton came off on it right at the post code. I can see it's SN15 but I need the last part of it.

I've never personally sent off a ripped receipt, but thought I'd anwer anyway. :o

Most promotions do have a clause in their T&Cs about not accepting damaged entries. I haven't seen the T&Cs for Actimel, but suspect they might have this clause, and even if they don't, I'm afraid it is quite likely they wouldn't accept your entry.

However, say you sent them all off and one receipt was unacceptable. AFAIK they would then write to you and ask for another receipt - i.e. all the other receipts would still be valid and you'd just need to submit one extra one. Obviously I'm speculating here, but if you want to take a chance, you can - if they accept your ripped receipt, great, if not, you'd have to buy another one and pay postage again.

If it was me, I'd probably go and buy another pack now for a receipt, to avoid all the faffing about, but it's entirely up to you. :)
  • Hi, has anyone tried to Olay Regenerist TMF? Going to give it a shot as I bought some from Boots when it was on half price offer. I'm just going to say "Unfortunately I have not found dramatically younger looking skin in just three weeks" and not elaborate (in case I get myself in a pickle and they get me over a barrel!). Do you think that will be enough? xx

i'd only do the TMF for the olay if you really didn't like it, cos i'm sure you have to send the bottle back as well the receipt, so defeats the object of buying it in the first place if you wanted to keep it, IYSWIM
