loan is in his name only, i had nothing to do with it

Why are you paying anything towards this then. Stop immediately.

  • regarding housing benefit fraud, he done it to 'hurt' me, just like he won't sign the Childrens tax credit paper work so we can get the outstanding working tax credit we are owed. I've not done anything wrong, i work, which is all declared.

Could you speak to the tax credit people and explain the situation? As for the loan, cancel the payments for anything that is solely in his name. It's not your responsibility to pay his debts.

The loan.. stop paying it.. it is not your responsibility it is his.. you have proof he doesn't live there.. send them details of his new address and a contact number if you have one and let them sort it themselves.

if he continues with stupid stff like housing benefit fraud he could be prosecuted himself.. harrassment for one!

He doesn't need to sign CTC paperwork.. ring up and do it over the phone.. no signatures needed at all.. I ALWAYS do mine over the phone it takes seconds.. you just need the figures for last years income and all is done!

£30 a week is more than I get.. I've had £360 since he left in March last YEAR.. and I have 7 children here.. no contributions to proms, school trips nothing!! and also had verbal abuse and threats on my life and OH's life.. I just think the more he does to prove he is not worthy to be in my life the better.

In regards to this OP, I would wait to do this until the deadline for tax credits has passed or you could be on the phone waiting to speak to someone for hours and hours.

Don't take no for an answer. Tell them the loan is in his name only and you want to cancel the direct debit/standing order and give them his new address. Stand your ground on this!

  • well they've now got his new address as i had the loan documents in his name only no questions asked! i did explain the situation tho. Thanks for your support and guidance, just wait for the poo to hit the fan! lol

Don't worry about being a "moo", your first responsibility is to your children and yourself so you need to do whatever is necessary and legal to protect yourselves financially and against abuse. I'm not suggesting you do anything spiteful as I always believe that things can come back to haunt you

Do you have any family close by that can give you moral support through this time until things are a bit more stable ?

Best of luck and let us know how you progress.

Just had a thought. Do you have any credit cards/debit cards that he might have sneakily taken the card numbers and try to buy things with? if he could have I would ring the card supplier, say you've lost you card and just need to have a new one issued.
