Weezl how were you planning to make chicken and sweetcorn pie ? "coz strangely enough I made chicken/mushroom and sweetcorn pie tonight - I used the last full leg and a bit of i breast though. Froze the other huge breast to make green thai curry at some point, decided breast would be better for that and I could get away with non-breast in the pie.

also I wonder if anyone would like to try to turn the following into a passable veggie burger?

mashed potato plus skins, carrot, onion (sorry there's a bit of a theme in these recipes!) few peas, breadcrumbs, herbs and spices.

Or do people think it's a bit lacking something like a pulse?

Oh I know, maybe half a can of baked beans in there? Might give it a bit of body?????

hey weezl its no problem. I won't be making anything until tomorrow evening anyway, but just wanted to be able to do some organisation!
I should be able to cover most of those meals this week. Cooking for 6 people so my chicken and pie will be a bit bigger than yours.
Do you want me to do the pastry as normal and then give you an idea of ingredients? I shop at Tesco so not sure if you want prices as well?
Is the pasta bake with a white sauce?

I make "keema peas" - basically mince and peas curry. Anyone interested in the recipe ?

I got a recipe for balti pie, from a magazine recently.....
Its basically curried mince, with chickpeas, topped with sweet potato mash... a spicier and very tasty version of shepards pie. (I used soya mince, as I dont eat meat)
