It'll probably rate another PM from DD, I received one from him last week asking me what my 'game' was."I can hear you whisperin', children, so I know you're down there. I can feel myself gettin' awful mad. I'm out of patience, children. I'm coming to find you now." - Harry Powell, Night of the Hunter, 1955.0 -

To be fair though, the Wilson's don't seem like very nice people.
but Forumonics likes to see a different pattern of events0 -
I think DD was pretty much on the ball when he said mortgage IRs had hit the bottom. As for houses prices being at their lowest, well we shall just have to wait and see.0

Yes I should imagine he could get very cross with you.
I wouldn't worry though he was ultimately an extrememly fair and level headed chap.
I'm sure most people wouldn't countenance such nonsense anyhow. The differences are subtle but there for all to see.
DD came across as a most erudite and forthright speaker. One capable of grasping the crux of the matter every time and then proceeding to cut through the jargon for the benefit of all. He understood most of the complexities now facing the market and offered simple no-nonsense advice to any who asked (and I'm sure he won't mind me joking a few who didn't ask!!). The advice was always to the point and often even blunt but it was always delivered with some, not insignificant, thought and attention to the particular case.0 -
Back on topic, I'm with Dopester on this one. I reckon the article is a sneaky advert by the Wilsons - they are testing the water and hoping someone comes forward with an offer.0

I do hope that is irony.
So you are happy to put the local computer shop out of business for a cheap laptop.
I take it Tesco will fix it for you or help you if you have a problem?
People have a funny take on what wreak family's lives.
Sorry to burst your bubble of priceless pomposity my nefarious lip flapping friend, but my local computer shop is PC World in Watford - an entity I give not one monkeys for.
I remember from my childhood of ZX Spectrum owning having to go an actual local computer shop for bits and bobs. They had very little choice, Everything cost twice as much as it should have done, they were only open til 12 on Saturday, closed for the entirety of Wednesday and Sunday and used to have rather long lunch hours inbetween.
Returns were next to impossible, iirc the owner would suck his teeth and shake his head.
Not a business model I am especially yearning to go back to.
ALSO I have a family discount from Tesco so I got my laptop EVEN CHEAPER than it would have been. I'll bet that makes you even more mad!:money:0 -
Firstly, my point of view is that it must be tough for first time buyers in that area, which isn't a particulary good thing.
I think a lot of people in that area aspire to move out of Ashford. It is known locally as Trashford.RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

No I use tesco time to time but I also do not pass judgement on the BTLers either.
So what I was saying is moaning about the Wilson's and their social impact and then championing Tesco's is slightly Ironic0 -

You'd have thought it would be easy to move out of Ashford with the shortage of housing we've been hearing about.0 -
