Afternoon all.
It poured with rain overnight but it's not too bad now, trying to be sunny. My pot with catmint in was knocked over this morning and the cats were very interested so I think another cat got a bit too vigorous with it rather than it got knocked over by the wind/rain!
Roast dinner almost ready. I've done lots of washing up etc. Not enough washing for a load today. Tidied round the living room.
Shouting cats - sometimes old cats do go a bit doolally and shout for no reason. I think you just have to put up with it......0 -
Frodders - you have stars!
OK, we could make the visualisation 8:45 if that's more convenient for everyone (I guess several might want to watch the Apprentice)
Count me in please.

Morning everyone... I had a lie-in this morning (well, I read the new book I bought last night and thought I might as well finish it as it was... um... light reading
). I've sorted the laundry and got one load in the machine, cleared some of the carp from the kitchen surfaces. As the weather isn't great i'm going to potter around and see how much I get done today. It rained heavily during the night (I don't think we had the thunder). I remembered at about 4am that I'd left a box of rose food outside, which is no doubt now soaked through
I really should spend some time in the garden today and plant those d*mned plants!
Visualisation... I've been thinking about it and suggest that we do 5 minutes on each. Try to find time beforehand to get yourself settled and concentrated (a few minutes breathing exercises/meditation with a candle might help). At 8.45 we can repeat last week's visualisation for Toots, and then at about 8.50 we can relax and refocus on Lady-Liberty - I suggest that we just imagine the healing light filling her and dissolving any negative energy it encounters, and then draining out of her and carrying the negative energy away with it.
If you can find an uncluttered room to do this in, it will help with the energy. Or even go somewhere quiet outside if the weather improves, as you can then use the natural healing energy around you to help you with what you're doing.
LL - if you want to do visualisation on your own at any time, then colour visualisation works well. You should sit or stand, then imagine your body filling with coloured liquid from your feet up. Visualise it as it flows up through your body and fills you. Then imagine it flowing out slowly through your fingers and toes, draining out through your body and taking all the negative energy and any tension with you. (Try not to think of the mess it might make... it evaporates on contact with the air, and the wind blows all the negativity away!). This is a really good way of getting rid of stress and tension generally. I used to use it to prepare for shooting matches, as you need to be very relaxed with a low heart rate.
sexymouse - don't overdo things. Make sure your headache is completely gone before you get started. If not, just relax for a bit. And try thicker socks with your boots.
Right... better get on and get dressed, and start making inroads into my never-ending list0 -

Morning all! Except is afternoon. Morning spent in buyin birthday present for 6 year old, as DD1 has a party this pm. wm on and lunch already decluttered.
sarahshattered dont be downhearted, I have a 6 yr old and a 21 month old, and I work full time and am doing evenings for an exam board at the moment. As you can see from my posts, even level 1 is a triumph, but the girls get fed and have clean clothes and the house is safe for them so I figure thats a good start. I do have a marvellous DH, who doesn't just pay lip service to the idea of sharing the chores, he actually does it (admittedly v.slowly and haphazardly!).
We even managed with a geriatric and incontinent dog until recently!! Working is good for one's sanity, if its the right job and I'm sure you will cope brilliantly. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

). 350ml water, 1tsp salt, 1Tbsp sugar, 1tsp yeast, 1Tbsp veg oil.
Shout up if you need more helpWhat make - I can then point you to a thread, possibly

Thank you! I've just had a chance to read the booklet that came and it says to mix in some white flour with the wholemeal too.
It's a morphy richards fastbake (cooltouch) type. Says it will bake a loaf an under an hour... Need to go get yeast and such and then will give it a go.
Today I have...
Cut DS2 hair
Bathed DS2
Stripped beds
Re-made our bed
Hoovered downstairs
Cleaned kitchen
Put stuff in slowcooker (diced beef caserole, veggies)
Threw a tantrum and made up a cleaning rota (to be printed with other stuff later)
And to do if I'm feeling up to it...
Asda for bread making stuff
Make bread to go with dinner
Mop floor (maybe DH will do this for me)
Wash and dry 2 loads
Clean glass doors in livingroom
Print stuff out - I need to do this.
Kids are supposed to be tidying their room, it's not going well.0
