My first taste of Baileys was years ago when they were giving tastings in Tesco.
Now I'm a well brought up person with nice manners - but I have my limits. I was eager to taste this much lauded new drink - I lifted the little plastic cup to my lips and put the contents in my mouth. I spat is straight out, it tasted like medicine! The poor woman's face was a picture of horror, and no wonder!Dh made a rapid exit, I was nothing to do with him.
I feel the same about creme de menthe.0 -
if u cnat afford Baileys try Irish Meadow or Irish Knights £3 a bottle nearly as good.0

I seem to be finding kindred spirits on this board! Either that or we come from the same genetic material! I can't bear Bailey's or Creme de Menthe.... How do you feel about Ouzo, Moanymoany?moanymoany wrote: »My first taste of Baileys was years ago when they were giving tastings in Tesco.

I have to say purpleivy, I've never tried it. Is is aniseedy, like Pernod? If so, the answer is no. No-one in my family likes Baileys, so it just might be genetic.
I remember nearly wetting myself laughing, when I found out that big, hunky gardening chap Tommy Walsh's favourite tipple is a tumbler of ice and Baileys.
My fave tipple is wine or a pint of lager - lovely.0 -
I only like Baileys and none of the other versions. This is one thing I have to have branded named.
I like the Baileys Haagen Daz ice cream - not boozy but tastes good.
I guess it can be substituted for any liquid in a recipe. An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:
