PS Weezl do u have a link to the info about calcium just before labour? is it two thousand mg? and did you find it on its own as every pack I see has vit D in it too is that ok? TIA

Hi Sami, have a good day!

Here are some linkies for you to look at when you get back:

interesting stuff about calcium and pain generally

this one's a bit kookie sounding, but interesting!

this one says take it with magnesium

this one says calcium is one of the reasons why RLT is effective

here's the one that I got the dosages from

    Love Weezl x

PS MFD I'm off to the health food shop now, want me to pick you some up?! ;):D

pps Sami, I think it's fine for it to have vit D in too, the only vitamin that's advised against in any amout in pregnancy as far as I know is vitamin A, hence not having liver, Vit A in excess of 1.500 iu perday in early to mid pregnancy can lead to cranial-neural crest deformity in the fetus. No-one should be scared tho, you'd have to eat quite a lot of liver to have this effect! ;)

    Thanks Weezl :D
I've just decided at the last minute I can't be bothered with toddler group this morning :o I'm sure I'm being silly and paranoid but I can't get the fact that I keep hearing about Chicken Pox and I know that March - May is "pox season" and I'm scared of getting it! My poor bubs has had enough to cope with by be not being told that I shouldn't have had the MMR whilst ttc'ing  (at me and Drs!!) I'm still fuming about that mostly because the dangerous part of the MMR is one I probably didn't need because I've had one of the M's and the R anyway!!! (you name it I'm sure I had it as a child)

    Morning,

Hopefully I can start to pay you guys come more attention now I have finished work!

Finished on Friday just as I am reaching 29 weeks with twins. I am basically redundant but...this is good news!!! Been at the company 7 years in April, hubby been there 12 years and I always wanted to return to work at least on a part time basis. But, things have changed since we found out we are having twins. Although am on a good wage, even part time child care x 2 would wipe out the cost of any wage I earnt.

I was wanting to finish end of March (am due 13th May) but the more time goes on the more I realise I am not physically able despite having a very good pregnancy so far and still trying to rush here, there and everywhere, do up our house etc. The company have been really good and kept me on past the 15th week before babies are due so that they could pay me my maternity pay, plus have received a pretty damn good pay out. :T

Friday was my last night and received floawers, amazon and beauty vouchers and some choccies plus some lovely greetings. :D

So am now a jobless bum...and so far loving it! :rotfl::rotfl:

And I am 30 in 6 days time!!!! :rotfl:

  • Icklebeans - I think you have done brilliantly to have stayed at work this long.

I have sisters who are twins. When my dad married my step mum they decided to have one child together (my stepmum already had a two year old and my dad had me and my brother who were 6 and 7) and they ended up with twins.

Do you know what sex they are?
  • I doubt very much I will be returning to work this time around with 2 little ones. Childcare would be too expensive. I worked out I would be working full time for about £150.00 a week!!

Hi, I'm having a bad spell of pregnancy brain, can someone explain to me the whole 25 + thing?

I was 25+6 on the 20th February when I saw the midwife and I'm trying to work out when I can claim the Surestart Grant (I know it's at 29 weeks), does it go:
    25+6
    25+7
    26
    26+1?

You wouldn't think this is my third baby!!!!

    Thanks everyone and congrats!

 sounds like it would not be worth it for you at all

I reckon when in full time work my other costs go up too, dunno if you agree slscarborough? I find I'm less likely to have a couple of coffees at 90p a throw each day if I'm not in work, or to forget my packed lunch and have to get something for £3. Or to chip in for a colleagues birthday pressie, or buy a magazine to read on the train.... Home makes me more satisfied with what I've got IYSWIM?!
    ;)
