Just a couple of questions, we're off in early June and wanting to stay at the MGM Grand. Upon searching around the best price we can find is the standard rate on the MGM website, does anyone know of anywhere doing this hotel for cheaper at all please and is it best to book now or hold on for deals etc?

Probably wait for deals for June...it's a relatively slow time in Vegas typically so there will be good deals available, just a bit too early for them...if you're more comfortable having a back-up plan you could book now and cancel if something better comes along...if you're just booking standard website rates they should be cancellable and your first night's deposit will be refunded.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Thanks, any idea when the offers usually occur?

It varies-you need to keep checking.
Vegas is feeling the economic downturn so there will be offers. Usually I pick up my final hotel reservation anything from a month to a week ahead but at the moment it seems good deals are coming a bit earlier (see my Easter trip above)

Thats a good price for a go room. I have two reservations about the go room though.
    1. there is no space for your cases in a 2 queen room.
    2. most go rooms only have a shower and I like to relax in the "tub"

If you want a fountain view you are best to get a room in the corner facing ballys.
most of the rooms overlooking CP have a toni braxton poster over the windows (at least they did last year)which I didnt like as it makes the room dark

It's Donny and Marie on the building now (sadly the show is dark for Easter-it's an excellent show)
I like a soak too but find I rarely have time on a short trip like this one-so not really an issue. Taking hand baggage only-can't be doing with the time it takes waiting for bags at las.

    Guys,

Im still taken by Luxor, are the improvement works finished there or not yet?

Whats the best room as well out of this lot:

Player Deluxe Room: Luxor On-Line Offer

Tower Luxury Suite: Luxor On-Line Offer

Pyramid Spa Suite: Luxor On-Line Offer

Tower Deluxe Room: Luxor On-Line Offer

Anyone any opinions, looking for a fairly luxory room to stay in after staying at augustus tower at ceasers previously, on a similiar ish level....

Tangobunny arrives on the 5th. Not sure about funkyfin. Was thinking the 6th would be the preferred date as we have plans for the 7th and leave on the 8th.

    we are there 4th - 8th.... May...

So the 6th suits me to the ground :D

Unless the pyramid rooms have been renovated since we stayed there (Pyramid Spa Suite), I cannot see that they would compare to the Augustus Tower on any level...that said, like others when we stayed at Luxor we only wanted to stay in the pyramid. I'm one that thinks that the pyramid rooms are dark and worn BUT I think that staying in the pyramid is just something that needs to be done - at least it was for us. The tower rooms are said to be a lot nicer overall, but to my mind, I can stay in a tower room anywhere...only Luxor gives me the option to stay in a pyramid.

I've got a $10 cash-out voucher for PH if anyone is going soon wants it. It's not much, but I'd hate to see it go to waste.

Here are some snaps of our twin bed Go room. We thought there was plenty of space for all of our casses, and we take a lot!!

The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Stoneman, where did you put the cases, from memory there wasnt any space other than on the floor, ie nothing to put them under or in, so they were out of the way.

    ps
looks like you may have used one of the beds, which is no good if you are using both beds.
