There's stuff all over the place. Especially so in the grabbit, shop but don't drop, moneysavers arms and DT boards. It's getting slightly annoying now.
Crack those whips and move posts to where they should be please.

The threads will be moved by the relevant board gudes when they are back online, please be patient. As you're aware the board guides are volunteers. Even paid employees don't work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week...............so there are bound to be times when threads aren't moved within hours of posting.
Have you thought of volunteering to be a board guide, to help to keep the site tidy?10 Dec 2007 - Led Zeppelin - I was there. :j :cool2: I wear my 50 (gold/red/white) blood donations pin badge with pride. Give blood, save a life. 0 -

I did do a few weeks back as I used to help out moderating on the SI forums for a while, but I had no response. I guess if they need any, they will ask?My suggestion and/or advice is my own and it is up to you if you follow it, please check the advice given before acting on it.0 -

This has been going on for a few weeks now. Some of the busier boards have only 1 or 2 mods. They need more. For example DT and the Arms only have 1 mod between them. Poor old (sorry Glad) Glad must be rushed off her feet. There are a fair few regulars on those boards who appear fair minded who I think would do a great job. Maybe some of them should be invited in to be a mod?Illegitimi non carborundum.0 -

Hiya Airwolf1, pm Andrea tell her that you're interested and when a vacancy arises she'll probably get in contact with you.
It was towards the end of October when I sent Andrea a pm about this. I assume at the moment things are ok, and that she probably gets quite a lot of these sort of requests of people offering to help out!My suggestion and/or advice is my own and it is up to you if you follow it, please check the advice given before acting on it.0 -
Hi
Thanks, yes we do get a lot of requests and we can't add everyone sadly, although it would be nice!
For those wondering what we look for in a BG it's someone whose posts are generally always friendly, helpful and non-judgemental and who knows and understands how the site, its articles, the weekly email and the forum work. Plus you obviously need to be around a lot.
We'd never expect you to be on every day but every day or two at the least otherwise there wouldn't be any point asking you.
PS., Glad does a great job on the Arms and DT and as neither she nor any of the BGs deal with any abuse issues we're not looking for anyone to join her on there.

It used to be a very nice site for money saving....with the great add on in the discussion for topical discussions.
But now there are so many new sections with cross over topics, its getting a mess.
For example....there is a depression thread in Disability and Dosh.....and there is one in Marriage relationships and Familys too.
I dont think the site needs one at all....never mind 2.0 -

There are also now four boards (plus a sub board - not sure why CSA doesn't get it's own board!) for asking benefit questions - it is confusing enough for regulars to know where to look or post, let alone newbies. :rolleyes:Gone ... or have I?0 -
I think the trouble with it is is that too many people think of MSE as home and want everything on one site....and the site are trying to accommodate.
The other negative thing about that is that genuine sites that offer support in the UK may notice a reduction of visitors because they come here instead.
Some of the smaller sites do rely on the adverts to keep their charity side going.
It reminds me of the rule I once read in a favourite book of mine......
