If an SA refuses to scan the voucher for whatever reason, just smile sweetly and say - ''will you just try it please'' they cant really say NO and if they do say NO i would tell them to cancel the transaction as your going to pay elsewhere. Then try another SA hopefully this one will be nicer.
Different SA's seem to interperet (sp) T&C's in different ways.
You WILL get another blinkie as long as your total after all vouchers still totals £5.00, so if you were using 1 to get the NO7 blusher and only paid £3.85 then NO you wont get 1 back but if you spent another £1.15 to make it to £5 then you would get another.
.
Thanks very much princesswoo. Time to get assertive methinks!
Each different SA today was adamant and they did try and scan them first but said they weren't valid (or variations of this) because they couldn't be used with any other offer..i.e the £5 off. Once they even called a supervisor over and she agreed. That was in two separate stores. Think I just must look a soft touch, confused and disorganised scrambling for my vouchers! Next time though I will be way more assertive and less accepting as I now know they can go through!
Brilliant on the blinkies too, insist on one if I spend over £5 after my reduction whether I have already redemmed one or not. Fab.
Thanks so much!0 -
I too have bought a few no7 nail varnishes with the last pinkies and it didnt even last 1 full day without chipping I was not impressed and will not be buying again pinky or blinky
For those that already stocked up on the no7 polish, they do last a fair amount of time on toenails! I usually just do my toes because polish not only chips quickly on my fingers, but using it (or the remover) makes my nails split and get icky -- but it's fine on my toes, lol!0 -

Ah! That would explain it! I only wear nail varnish on my toes! do alot of yoga and gym stuff so for me it is essential!!0 -
minimoneyme wrote: »Me too - I thought it was just 'cos I was rubbish at putting on nail varnish! Happened with a No.7 Stay perfect 'lilac' and with the 'rose truffle' from the GWP. I'm sure others on here have said similar things.
Was it you Sandra who took some back? (and can you take mine back, you're sooooo brave! :rotfl:)
Yes it was me!! I will praise to the hilt if something, or someone, is worth it, but if goods aren't up to standard, then it's back to the shop. Please don't be fobbed off with excuses!0 -
Virtually - I always hand over the points voucher 1st, then i hand over the £5 off then they cant argue with me.
My nail varnish is brand new i only opened it today, and only bought it 3 weeks ago and it was a 'new' shade so hasnt been in the shops long.
I think im gonna do one hand and go in and show them that it peels of and i want my money back.
I have another one in a very similar colour that is on my toes and thats still there weeks later no chips or anything. very weird.
I wouldnt mind if it just chipped but i put my dressing gown on, pulled my arms through looked at my hands and the nail varnish was half peeled off, it was dry as i sat for the 30 mins watching eastenders to double make sure it was dry.
Also does bio-oil really work, i had my boobs done 8 months ago and the scars are still really dark and visible and not showing any signs of fading on there own, but bio oil seems really expensive, do No7 do anything similar so i can use a blinkie?:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0 -
Really! Wow- mine don't seem to chip for ages! Its the fast dry stuff I have- is that what you have bought? Its almost as good as the Chanel I stole from my mum (Really hope she didn't take up my suggestion and join the site now!!)
I am not sure if mine is fast dry or not dont think so but I was at work one night on a night shift so I left the for hours to dry without doing anything and it had still chipped by the next day. Really wouldnt recommend them at all
Although like skibster said it seems ok on your toes0 -
Yep scans at 500 points on full priced items minus pinkie, definately works on SS till as i did three shops over the weekend this way :A
Thanks adulong. I 'killed' 2 SS tills today trying to scan my vouchers:eek:  I walked away from the 1st while it was shouting for help, (No-one came) and went to another one and then did the same thing again:o~ What goes around comes around ~0 -
There was a young and pretty girl - her name? Sophisticated
She tried to do her best, but her revision was belated
Each time she tried to beat this task, she found her mind a-wandering
Cos all the time she dreamt of Boots, and the money she'd be squandering!
But our scholar wasn't selfish, and her efforts were not wasted
She found the Pinkie glitches, which she copied first, then pasted
She listed all the bargains, then her list was finely honed
With varnishes and items to leave faces freshly toned
She worked upon this list, till it was finally updated
Oh what a caring person was that sweet Sophisticated
Then she glanced upon her text books and made a great decision
"I've got to stop my Bootsing, and start on my revision"!
So thanks Sophisticated for the efforts you have made
Cos once we use our Blinkies, little money will be paid
You know your list is well received, you have our adoration
But sweetheart, we'll cheer louder when you pass your examination!!
:j :j :j :j :j
(sometimes, I amaze myself! - Night night!)0 -
I wonder how long it will be before someone askes the SA for a 'blinkie' and if they will know what on earth it is!!! :rotfl:0
