mof77 thanks for your post. how awful to be stuck in the middle like that. I guess it's like the saying 'you can choose your friends but you can't choose your family'. Fortunately I have good friends both at home and on here that let me rant (like we all need to to from time to time) and listen and offer support. Without that network I know I would go round the twist.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0

My first proper shift is tomorrow evening. Been talking to the supervisor today an have got some extra shifts over christmas too.

They give off constantly at the hospital where DH is and now they have fallen out with FILs mother who is 82 just because she sends the kids cards for their birthdays.....Some people are just horrid, and they are the ones who are missing out on their grandchildren (they have 4 other grandchildren who live in Canada and a fifth one who lives in manchester, we btw live in Northern Ireland!)

AnW'sMum and mumoffour77 ((big hugs)) for you both, I might have a right wicked witch bag for a WIL but at least I can leave DP to it and just ignore her, thinking of you both x You're both doing an amazing job given the circumstances you are under and have my every admiration. I suppose grief, even loosing the person you knew to brain injury or other disabilities without the person dying involves grief of loosing what you had before and planned for the future, brings out either the best or worst in some people, everyone deals with it in different ways and unfortunately it's sometimes very selfish and hurts other people.
Summermoon pleased to hear the first day went well. Don't forget to let tax credits know so you don't end up with a big overpayment to repay.
rach hello, hope you had a better day x
Lady Liberty good luck!
OJK sounds like you have a busy evening ahead of you, love the nasa comment, I am guilty of that one myself

soappie, unfortunately the green uniform are known for getting in there and doing their job, organising other things like offices, or even their homes/lives, seems to go over their heads!
I was just thinking actually, DPs Dad isn't the nasty type (they are divorced) him and his wife are lovely, but they have only been to visit us once, we always have to make the effort there too (same goes for his grandparents etc)
Speaking of witch bag, her other sons staying here tonight because he's sick of her already :rotfl: just shows doesn't it, she's only been back a few days. One day I might be more organised...........
