ok we were in tesco today and heard an anouncement about a knife demo and all shoppers can take away a free veg knife, so off we went to the demo and the guy was showing this knife and it was a very nice sharp knife , so after about 15 mins he said we could all have one for the knockdown price of 19.99 :mad: rrp 25 quid :mad:
so i know you dont get nothing for nothing these days but when something is advertised as free then it should be free
why not advertise a cheap knife or some money off a knife??
most of the audiance tutted and left the demo in disgust, bah free my !!!!.
just had to get that off my chest

Ah well that's false advertising. I'm sure you can insist that the knife was free and that you wanted a free one. Although unless you have proof of them stating that (say a recording of the tanoy message) then they probably won't budge.
As for the photo above. I have taken a store supervisor to show them such incorrect advertising, demanded they refunded the difference and left the shop a happy cutsomer.0 -
i can see why...def think you should complain for wasting your time.:starmod::starmod::starmod::starmod::starmod::starmod::starmod::starmod::starmod::starmod:0

Did you wait until the end of the demo?
The free knives are given out at the end.
The knife they demonstrate is for sell, the free knife is a very small one.0 -
did you get one then?:starmod::starmod::starmod::starmod::starmod::starmod::starmod::starmod::starmod::starmod:0

Yeah that changes things a little. Maybe only those who didn't roll eyes and walk away were rewarded with free knife.
I'm still slightly concerned that they were giving out free knives in the first place!!!0 -
You should write a letter to the Daily Mail complaining about how Tesco is fuelling our twisted knife culture by giving these weapons of death away... for free!0
