Hello, I'm a newbie old styler and I'm hoping that having a meal plan sorted will stop me from making daily trips to the shop and spending more than I need to

I used to meal plan when I was a student but got out of the habit when I started working. I've already started batch-cooking again at the weekend (another student habit) and this has made it easier for me to stick to HM cooking instead of going out for meals or resorting to takeaways. However I still find myself sometimes picking up junk on the way home from work and eating that instead of one of my tastier nutritious meals from the freezer :o:confused: I'm hoping by planning ahead I will get out of that habit

ok, enough rambling and here's my first meal plan.
Friday: haddock and hm wedges with veg
Saturday: beef stew, red cabbage (both batch cooked) and other veg
    Sunday: lamb curry (batch cooked)
    Monday: spag bol (from freezer)
Tuesday: mince hot pot (from freezer)
    Wednesday: chicken casserole (from freezer)
    Thursday: veg stir fry

fingers crossed I will stick to it

and thanks Nikki for your Jambalaya recipe - I'll be trying it out sometime soon

Sun Roast Chicken with all the trimings (cooked in Remoska hopefully)

Tue Spag Boll (from freezer, will make it this weekend)
Wed Chicken & ??? (Possibly egg fried rice - any recipes gratefully received)
Thu Mashed potato, Sausages, veg & gravy
Fri Chicken Kiev, Boiled Potatoes and Peas (likely to change as there is a lot of chicken on this week's menu).

I missed the last week's thread, but it wasn't for lack of meal planning, just for lack of access time... This week I will be relying heavily on my freezer, as I'm working three evenings in a row, plus the weekend, which leaves me just about... erm, no time for cooking and preparation of food.

Anyway, enough waffle, here's the plan:

Friday - turkey chilli (freezer); HM naan (freezer ); southern fried quorn burger and beans for DD
Saturday - beef jalfrezi (freezer); HM naan (freezer); fried eggs and beans for DD
Sunday - toad in the hole (made with a veggie hot dog for DD), roasties and veg
Monday - pub meal out with friends
Tuesday - spaghetti bolognaise (freezer); spaghetti with veg for DD
Wednesday - saag chana dhal (freezer); HM naan (freezer)
    Thursday - shepherdess pie
