Hello! I am not a Money Saving Expert as most of you are! I have been astounded at your savings! However, I am here because I was looking for the Boots No 7 Really Reviving Skin Spritz online, and as I searched, I discovered it has been discontinued!!
The problem I have and was hoping that you here could help with, is that I am in America. My husband got transferred here last November by his company. We have friends coming for a visit in October and I was giving them my list of things to bring us that we can't find here. (Good chocolates for one!) So I was looking for a picture of the Skin Spritz to send so they would know what to look for and that's when I found out it's discontinued. My search led me here and I see that some of you are finding it in Boots near you.
I was wondering if anyone who spots Boots No.7 Really Reviving Skin Spritz, in the Leeds/Bradford area or the Newcastle area would pm me and let me know so I could alert my friends to rush over and pick it up! Also, if any of you have this and would like to sell it to me (securely on eBay with PayPal) I would be happy to buy it from you (and I would pay you more than the £5 its being offered at for your trouble) and have it sent to my friends home in the UK. I hope this is allowed, I read the rules when I registered and I don't think I am breaking any!
Thank you and I hope you keep getting great savings!0 -

Im in same situation, my little babe will turn 1 on the 28th Dec. I do feel for all the kiddies having birthdays so close to xmas, and the mammys having to be extra organised. Want to make it extra special as this my last baby and have had a rotten year too.
Oh poor you, hope you enjoy this years bday/xmas celebrations as much as much as your little one is sure to!x
PS we have a "summer party" for holly, in the holidays get all the family and a few friends round for a bbq-everyone brings a bottle or a burger etc and we all have a fab time. Also this is partly for my mum and sister who are Jehovah's Witnesses so don't celebrate Xmas/bdays and my sister is only 9 so she loves to be a very grown up auntie and help party-plan for her niece!0 -
just had this -
moneypenntless beat me too it!
Will not spend more money, but will spend more time looking for that great bargain!

For those of you who have Christmas babies...I'm another one! My little girl is a Christmas Day baby though. The funny thing is I had said all the way through my pregnancy I didn't care when the baby came as long as it wasn't Christmas Day! She was obviously listening & had decided that she was going to be my Christmas present after all & boy did she keep me waiting!
I got most of her presents for her 1st birthday about a month after she was born when our local Boots store was being refitted & selling loads of toys at really cheap prices...There's a big stash under the bed all ready & waiting for her.Our 1st baby is due 29th December 2007! :rudolf:
I'm hopeful that this get's me out of cooking Christmas dinner!
Baby Ruby arrived after 55 hours of labour & an emergency c section on Christmas Day at 14.41 weighing 6lb 6oz...And yes I did get out of cooking Christmas dinner!!:rotfl:0 -
Afternoon
I am going to do my first Boots shop this evening at Meadowhall. I have two £5 No 7 voucher's and a £5 facial till spit. I am in such a muddle as to how to spend them, and what i can actually get for my hard earned cash...i have read so many posts in the last few days my head is in a whirl..wish me luck...x
Well, if you're anything like me your top priority should be painkillers as I'm only an irregular Bootser and I always get a stinking headache from working my brain so hard. Good luck!
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

For anyone wondering about fragrance notes, google basenotes, then go to the fragrance directory at basenotes.net
I'm sorry not to link direct to the site - must be something to do with it not letting me log out. I find it really interesting and useful.0 -
Thanks mumoffour ..... rather a good shop if I do say so myself !
Not going to get involved in all the griping but do have to say that I've never met a nicer bunch of people on here so please don't go b!!!!ing about who does what to who, when, where and how - let's keep it a nice, friendly thread eh?
Some of the ladies on here (you know who you are) are absolute darlings ! For those 'darlings' who have been singled out - please don't stop what you do, you help so many like me and for the mean !!!!!!s who don't appreciate it, they will get theirs .... great believer in karma ..... what goes around comes around ...... and it often does !
This is only a forum and no one has the right to judge anyone else on what they do or how, each to their own, let's not be worried or concerned about who's got 4 million mitchums
Do what YOU feel comfortable doing (whether that's picking up a gwp that goes through as 0.00 or using 4 mitchum vouchers - for example!) If you get caught by Mr B with 10 natural collection bags in your basket then that's your look out ! I know there are a greedy few who may spoil it for the rest of us, but the majority of us will happily leave a few things on the shelves for everyone else.
Personal theory is 'Bootsing' is partly the lovely ladies on here finding the glitches/best voucher combinations etc and part luck ! If you're lucky enough to have the products in the store then great - if not, then it's a bit of tough luck ! Just have to try another store or wait for the next glitch to come along.
I said I wasn't going to get involved ! lol  ....
Hope everyone is having a nice day and let's keep it friendly from now on please !!

Buffy_the_Vampire_Bat wrote: »On the subject of perfumes...this is what the Boots website has to say about Pure Poison Elixir:
"Pure Poison changes into pure magic and becomes Pure Poison Elixir, a new olfactory interpretation of Pure Poison. Its voluptuous narcotic floral fragrance is a sensual and carnal philtre. Sambac jasmine and orange blossom, that beat in its heart, fascinate and subjugate. A bulb atomiser celebrates the precious sophisticated fragrance ritual, ally of an eternal seduction."
Can anyone translate into English what that means please?
I work in an academic world (well an archive actually) and I have NO idea what they are banging on about.
I only wanted to know if it was like normal Pure Poison but just a little stronger
It's not stronger, it has a slight difference in fragrance but I had to try it as I love Pure Poison, and when I tried the Elixir I loved it too so had to buy it....but then that is no measure as I can't stop buying perfume! :rotfl: It has more of a spicy note to it, I wouls say definitely more of an evening perfume.
From another website:

Here's my little stash collected over the last week and using the TS voucher and the JK 'glitch' each time.
10 transactions - each totalling £5 or £5.01 and each time getting back around 513 points + till spit + voucher
Paid a few pence over £50 (£40 in cash + one £10 Pigsback voucher)
Total back in points 5,130 (worth £51.30)
So, effectively all these lovely goodies were free!!! :j
Many thanks to all for the tip-offs :T
