Thanks everyone for the Window advice - I will definitely avoid Homesure and might consider Anglian, although they have not impressed me in the past...

On another note, I need, somewhat more urgently than the windows, to find a kitchen fitter - preferably someone that designs and supplies them too.
The chap I had set up to do it originally (a friend of a friend) has let me down!

Can anyone recommend a reliable, resonably priced person or company in Milton Keynes or surrounding?

    Thanks

    Try Maxan 01908 616278
Fit kitchens and bathrooms. I have seen quite a lot of his work (all local) and very good quality & prices.
    Hope this helps

My bathroom fitter is a 'bathrooms and kitchens' man. I was impressed with the bathroom fitting... haven't seen his kitchen fits, however. https://www.mk-bathrooms.com

Or, I have another friend of the family who fitted my kitchen; he did a superb job and his joinery work is fantastic. I can supply his name/number by PM (I haven't got it on me)

hiya, I know this isn't moneysaving but wanted to ask if any of you guys had experience with rehoming a cat- I have a gorgeous nearly one year old 1/4 bengal tabby girl, who I love to bits, but am having to admit defeat with her and my 4 year old son not getting on- its not fair on her and I think she would be happier in an experienced household without young kids. I want her to have a better life than she does with us so just handing her over to the rspca or cpl isn't an option. thanks

I can't recommend, but would suggest you could try these who may offer that service...

    Odell's in Stony Stratford
    Pollards in Bletchley
    Sid Telfer in New Bradwell

We had our windows done by Kingston (based in Frosts, Woburn Sands). One or two minor issues which got sorted very quickly. Considering the size of the job it all went pretty well, but they're not the cheapest.
