Realised tyre was leaking air within 30 hours of buying the car. Should dealer fix

I recently purchased a car (2013) from a reputable garage. Within 30 hours the TPMS (tyre-pressure monitoring system) was alarming.

I checked the tyre and discovered it was on 12 PSI (should be 26).

I immediately emailed the dealer to inform them, and inflated the tyre.

Checking 24 hours later, the pressure was down to 20 PSI.
I've booked the car in for them to look at on Saturday, but their response suggests they are not going to help for free:
It sounds like you have picked up a puncture, as the vehicle was on site with no issues here.
Does anyone know

1. what my rights are (e.g. under the Consumer Rights Act 2015), and
2. ignoring my rights, what an appropriate response from a dealer should be.

I understand that a tyre is not a warranty item, but I'll be a bit miffed if I have to buy a new tyre 3 days after buying a car...

Take it into your local independent tyre place and ask if they can identify the problem. If it's something like a damaged alloy or bad seal then you should press the dealer to sort it. If it is a puncture, then you'd struggle to prove they knew about it, it's possible (albeit rubbish) for it to have happened in those 30 hours.

    ^^^^
    THIS

Perfectly possible it picked up a puncture inside 30 hours.

EDIT: Actually, even a damaged alloy or a bad seal could have happened after purchase.

If it's a puncture, you should really just take responsibility and move on with your life.

I dont think the CRA 2015 will cover punctures incurred after purchase.

Please dont go to KwikFit or Halfrauds, both will tell you you need 4 new tyres, an exhaust and a full set of discs and pads all round and that they arent legally allowed to let you leave in an unroadworthy car without having all the "issues" resolved. By them. At an extortionate price.

Find a decent local indy and tell them you think you have a puncture....

I used to sell cars full time.

Sooooo glad to be out of it.

When people starting quoting their rights under the CRA 2015 for a puncture, i know i made the write decision.

I bet you noticed the fuel gauge was getting lower. Do you expect the dealer to put petrol in until the gauge was at the same level when you bought the car?

I'm glad to be out of anything where I have to deal with clients of any sort.
Cars weren't my business, but they must be a nightmare.

The OP must be feeling a bit deflated with some of the comments above.

    He should re-tyre gracefully.
