New EE package.

I'm getting more deaf (even with my hearing aid in) and I am only just beginning to use more texts. I have EE PAYG and rarely ever (previously) use more than about £2 or, at most,£3 a month.
Because this may increase can anyone please answer a few questions - until I can get into my nearest EE Shop, please? The 'new' package on offer is:
150MB data
£5.00
250 texts
100 minutes
Renews every 30 days
Data will roll over.
I am very unfamiliar with this and only use my Moto G5 for texts and (very rarely) when at home wi-fi.
If I buy this package will I, within the limits, also be able to use the internet on my mobile and could I possibly, if ever necessary, use any of it on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S2? I am really not sure how the system works. Would I still be able to use wi-fi at home as normal or would this use up the limited MB in the package?
For mostly family I use 'WhatsApp but can only use it outside if wi-fi is available. I like the idea of using what I am familiar with and keeping my present 'contact' and phone numbers etc.
Any advice would be really good, thank you.

Do not trust phone shops to give you honest advise.
They will tell you anything to get a sale.
I recommend you look at "Sim only" packages.
They tend to work out slightly cheaper than PAYG.
They give you an allowance to use in a month.
Sadly most now tie you in for 12 month contract, (except plusnet).
Plusnet has the same network as EE, so reception should be similar

Humm, the days of paying £5 or £6 /month have gone.

With a data allowance you can use internet on your phone. This is completely separate from, and does not affect, your use of WiFi. When WiFi is not available the data connection will take over if you have it enabled, you can select on/off on your phone.
Your Samsung tab can be used in the same way if it takes a SIM and you insert the one with data service. If it is WiFi only you may be able to 'tether' it to your phone for the data connection.
I advise you to stay away from the EE shop, unless you leave your wallet/cards at home.
It sounds like your usage is quite low. You might consider leaving EE PAYG and moving to Three or O2 for PAYG, their rates are much lower than EE - 3p/min, 2p/SMS, 1p/MB - so without using a bundle you can make your credit last a long time for occasional use. You could keep your current number by requesting a PAC (Port Authorisation Code) from EE and giving it to your new provider.Evolution, not revolution0 -

Sky still have a £6 a month deal for 2GB/UL mins/UL texts and you don't need to be a Sky TV user any more if you give them a call. They use the O2 network so I don't know if it's suitable for the OP.0 -
Thank you for these replies. They give me plenty to look st and think over - very much appreciated.

I have been with EE for a while and T mobile before.
I pay £8 for unlimited calls and texts plus 2 GB of data.
