***SEAT SELECTION***

Hi

Just wondering if anyone know if it's right that TUI can charge me one price to prebook my (standard) seats so myself and my husband can sit together on the outbound flight and then charge me (although only £2) more for the same seats on in return flight a week later.

I have checked the terms and conditions and can't find anything.

I contacted them and all they could day (which seems to be their answer to everything) is that it is due to 'Live Pricing'.

I have never with any airline I have flown with been charged different prices!

Thanks

Are you travelling out in April ( winter season) and back in May (summer season)? This might account for the £2 price rise.

If you just want seats together rather than specific seats I wouldn't waste money paying for seat selection - TUI don't deliberatly split you up so you'll almost certainly end up together if you check in a few days before. We've just been on a couple of TUI flights - 3 of us got allocated seats together both ways.

Yep, they can charge what they want :)
  • The chances of two passengers travelling together being separated on a TUI flight are next to zero as Zagflies indicates.

Just make sure to check in early. If your too late there might not be seats together left for you.
