BT cancels new contract

I used MSE for the first time to take advantage of the BT offer on fibre broadband. It was due to go live today but I have received a email from BT saying that due to problems at their end the contract will be terminated and all monies refunded. Is this usual and what are my rights. I cannot find out if my contract with my current provider which is talk talk will continue or if I will be cut off. Any advice is appreciated.

Usual? No. As for your rights, they've advised you that they can't supply (for whatever reason) and they'll refund you any monies paid. What exactly are you looking for?
Speak to TalkTalk to see if BT have returned the line to them (they should have).0 -
Sounds about right, It took me three goes before BT eventually accepted my orderNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0
