I use two car parks in the city centre of Manchester. One near my work and one near my flat. I probably use my car one or twice a week. When I go to use the car, I have to think long and hard as to which car park I've left the car at.

I "lost" mine when I went to Goodwood.
I was so excited by being at Goodwood that I scampered off to the track as soon as I parked.
When I came back there were about 10,000 more cars parked and it took about an hour walking up and down to "find" it again.
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))

He sank to an all time low yesterday with his "How many funerals have you been to in your life?" thread in the "Deaths, Wills and Probate" forum.

When I lived in the city centre there was on-street parking and the permit covered maybe 20 blocks. You'd just drive around until you find a space, and then a few days later wander around until you can find it again.

More than once I've forgotten to check which floor in a multi-story I've parked in, which means a bit of checking.
  • I had the car stolen once. I stood there looking at the empty space for a while, wondering if I'd forgotten where I'd put it.
