Mostly drive into Dundee city centre on a day off, but also sometimes take the bus in for a change, (maybe thinking, "might have a pint if I bump into someone") :)

On more than one occasion have been sitting quite happily on the bus halfway home, (having not had a pint), and suddenly realised, "s***, I drove in"!

Yes, Alton towers, I didn't think to see where I parked until i come out of the park, luckily as a few left I could see it.
  • :rotfl: Likewise.. 1977 parked in a parking area whilst visiting a friend in Hyde and some scumbag Sheffield United supporter had taken it to get back to Sheffield after a Man Utd game. I must have spent 20 minutes thinking "I'm sure I parked here" before the penny dropped.

Mine was parked outside a B&B in Ribblesdale, miles from anywhere, so there wasn't even anywhere else it could have been.

About 40 years ago my local newspaper put a shout out as they were looking for a car. A man had gone into town to do a bit of shopping and parked his car. A shop he was walking past had a basement with door flaps that opened on the pavement and they were left open/unattended and he'd fallen in and died. They did find it, but it took awhile.
