A few months ago a few threads disappeared from the old style board. It was explained that the spam button had been bit too often causing them to be removed and never to be reinstated.
It happened again this week, the what are you making for dinner thread, disappeared.
Today the love food hate waste has gone.
Can this be looked at please?

Unfortunately some genuine threads have been removed when some forumites have clicked the spam button by mistake.
Have a look out for new versions that have been set up eg Love Food Hate WasteCould you do with a Money Makeover?

This seems to have started happening rather a lot lately; surely something must have changed? Can't useful threads with much valuable data be resurrected from your cache?0 -

As we know, threads can be hidden from most users but not from moderators, or they can permanently deleted off the forum database.
Are you saying the spam button permanently removes stuff, without recourse? That doesn't seem to be what its description says. There is an overt implication a spam reported thread will be provisionally removed until the Forum Team have a chance to look at it.
That Regular Savings thread, as mentioned above, certainly should not be removed, and there should be protections built in, especially if (as per my previous paragraph) the description declares they are there.0 -

Lose: no longer possess, not to retain, unable to find
Loose: not firmly or tightly fixed in place0 -

Of course they'll have back-ups as well as contingency in place if anything untoward should happen to the forum, but why should they be bothered if the odd thread goes missing ?
I mean, it will take someone time and effort to resurrect it, probably time they don't have, but from a PR perspective it says whilst we value your input to our forums we don't really care about it and if threads gets deleted, then so be it.0 -
