TalkTalk and Moving House

Hi,
I am currently with TalkTalk, i have about 6 or 7 months left of my contract.

I am about to move house, I informed TalkTalk and they have given me a new contract.
The contract for my current property states that if I break the contract I have to pay the remaining term, however as they have set up a new contract instead of continuing with my current contract can I cancel (I am still within the 14 day or whatever it is cooling off period for the upcoming move).

At my current property, I have a discount of my TalkTalk bill, however with the new contract it is full price, I can get this cheaper elsewhere, as they have cancelled the discount. Am I able to cancel the new contract and my current contract expire when I leave my current property?

With the Gas and Electric, I am in a contract however both companies cancel the contract when I leave with out penalty. Without having to keep them in the new property, does this apply to Broadband?

Thanks for your advice.

Current contract you do have to pay the remaining months if leaving early .
    See multiple identical posts .
Cancel and pay off remaining months then free to choose new provider and any new customer discounts .

So your choice is it better to cancel TT at your current address , pay the early termination fee, and be able to shop around for a provider at the new address, or take TT with you to the new address , and start a new full price minimum term contract but not have to pay ETC

if it's just question of best value , find out what the ETC saving at the old address will be , added to full price TT will be compared to the potential saving taking a 'new customer' deal with someone else after taking having to pay ETC into account.

The thing with gas and electric, they don't supply anything ( like an ISP supplying a router etc) and there is no physical switch, it's the same gas in the pipe or electricity from the generator , it's just a change in who sends out the bill, changing ISP can require a physical change in the exchange...plus some energy company's do charge for leaving them before the minimum term anyway
