I have been hanging around the diaries for around a month , decided to subscribe a get rid of the debt once and for all. I had a dmp which ended 3 years ago but owing to a drop in salary have managed to get myself in around 5 k debt again. Once I have Jan statements for credit card will be able to tell true figures.

I have signed up for swag bucks today and done a couple of surveys. Need to do SOA , but not sure how much to put in categories like household repairs for one .

Any help filling it in gratefully received.

These January winter evenings make me want to snuggle indoors too!

Good for you on the water intake. This is something I have to address.

No I hadn't Beanie but after your suggestion I looked up the times of my local library . The nearest one is open Friday afternoon when I am at home so that's good. The biggest one is open quite late and just a short drive away , so I joined up yesterday . Thank you for the idea.

Childminding day for DGD , off to the library later .

Yesterday was a big spend day all on treats from Xmas money received. Two pairs of loafers £7.50 each half price obviously not leather but ok for leisure wear.
Afternoon tea 2for1 £23 for the weekend with my friend in the Lakes.
Theatre tickets for The Band next Wednesday £10 each x2 for myself and DD , offer for residents at massive reduced price.

Today I am hoping for little spends .

Went to the library today and I enjoyed it as did DGD , she got to sit on a little stool and look at lots of books.

The new loafers were a terrible buy , I have had the make before so didn't try them on (fatal mistake ) . They are going to be listed on EBay tonight .

I have whizzed round my flat cleaning , so I can head off tomorrow after going shopping with my dad . It will be an early start aiming to be in Windermere by 11. Afternoon tea and then a trip to the cinema to see Mary Poppins . Coming back Sunday after lunch to get ready for next week.

I get paid next Friday and that is when my 2019 debt repaying starts in earnest . I have had a few easy months but now want to knuckle down and try and pay as much as possible off .

    Have a good weekend everyone.

I hope you have a wonderful time in Windermere Cumbria - do you stay with friends when you are there?

Interesting to hear what you think of Mary Poppins and if you think it is supercali....... oh well you know! Some of it was filmed in the event centre next door to my firm. It used to be part of the headquarters of one of the big banks. There were a line of black limousines with tinted windows parked outside every day whilst the filming was going on - waiting for Emily Blunt et al!

Glad you had a lovely weekend up here. The weather was mostly kind if a bit nippy, wasn't it? Though perhaps a little cloudier today - at least it didn't rain.

I used to love taking my kiddies to the library when they were little. DS turned out to be a big reader like me and now DGD has followed in our footsteps
