Just found this group! I have been saving 2-pound coins for several years. Usually, when they reach £50 I bank them. I have been given one of those impenetrable saving jars so I will start using that instead of my regular old tin. This year I aim to just them let accumulate until December. I also save 50p coins, interestingly those add up to substantial sums faster!
Hi Honeylife,
Welcome to the £2 Savers club.
When my husband and I are away we generally find that in monetary value we come back with similar amounts. (I save £2 coins he saves 50p's). He is better at waiting until his pot is full before he banks them. Where I tend to use mine for Christmas or to pay for car insurance or buy a large priced item.
