Hi after my oh got kicked of ESA and JSA wouldn't accept him as he was to disabled for them to get him work and said he didn't meet there criteria to sign on so refused him , I have been and signed on for income support today and am trying to find out how much it will be per week I asked my adviser to day and she said she wasn't sure but thought that it would top up my carers allowance by around £40.00 per week taking it to £103.00 per week . when I tried to put it through on a benefits calculator it said £114.00 plus 30 per week premium for the carers allowance .
I am confused now at what I will be getting and I am trying to work out a buget but its very hard when I don't know how much I will get .
I get carers allowance , my oh get DLA , so do my children get DLA , also CTC and CB . does anyone have any ideas please thank you .

Are you claiming for you and your boyfriend or is it just you and your children?Master Apothecary Faranell replied, “I assure you, overseer, the Royal Apothecary Society dearly wishes to make up for the tragic misguidance which ended so many lives. We will cause you no trouble. We seek only to continue our research in peace".0

From: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/457239/DWP11-benefit-and-pension-rates-april-2015-280815.pdf
Income Support Personal allowances
Couple
Both aged 18 or over £114.85
Premiums
Family £17.45
Disabled child £60.06
Carer £34.60
Looks as if the benefits calculator is the better estimate.
But see:

the family premium and disabled child premium will be paid via tax credits.
the income support would top up a joint claim to £114 and the carers premium will be aded.
so approx £150 a week0 -
Various disability premium/s will be due as well I doubt you will be any poorer on income support?
It will be nearer £195 weekly less your carers at £62 or £218 if he has high care of DLA less carers again?
What level DLA care does he get and any of the children?0 -

You will get £114.85 couple RATE

You are not subject to the benefit cap

To get an extra £34 weekly and to protect his national insurance record get him to claim carers allowance for one of the children backdated 3 months.0

I never understand how someone claiming disability benefits can claim carers allowance for looking after someone else. This is a loophole that needs closing.0
