Great news been told we qualify for compensation 600 Euro
Just had confirmation we will receive our compensation but United Airlines want to send us Citibank prepaid visa cards.
But can you use them in the UK and I think you can only use them for purchasers you cannot put them in your bank account should we stress we want a cheque or paid into the bank
Has anyone else come across this

why can't you just withdraw the cash off them ? When I got paid by Lufthansa they asked for my bank details and it was paid in directly0

Apparently this is how united airlines pay out compensation
However if anyone has challenged this way of payment please let me know0 -
I know this thread is over a year old, but United have just agreed to compensate me and my family for a flight delay to the US, but they plan on sending each of us out a Citibank Visa to the value of just under £510 each. And say they will take 6 to 8 weeks to arrive.
Has anyone else had the same? Are these easy enough to use? And do we need to accept them or can we demand a bank transfer?0
