Can't you design your own? - It's free

I used Inspired Print and was happy with the work they did for me.0

Hunnie - I wouldn't have a clue where to start and also, I haven't really got the flair for that sort of thing
I would need it to eventually be sign written onto a van and also on a website so would need it in different formats etc - I'm just too much of a technophobe.
Catcherupper - thank you, I shall check that one out.:T0 -
Start with fiverr.com and check some previous work. There's a real mix, some good summer dreadful. Expect to pay more than $5 as you'll go through multiple iterations to get it right, and to get the vector version (which you'll need for the van signs etc), but £50 will go a long way.0

I used 99designs.co.uk - I was happy with the result and price0

I used Logo Plaza. They were great because they offered unlimited revisions which a lot of companies don't do.
I have since referred to people who have also been happy :-)
Feel free to PM me for my website address so you can check out the logo they did for me.0 -
I'd go with Fiverr - I've had some great results for logos. If you go to fiverr.com-click.me there's a whole page of logo sellers you can find from the menu0

Have a look at peopleperhour.com - some great logo designers there.
I also second the other suggestions of Fiverr and 99pdesigns0 -
We used Add Design. Good service & well priced0

Do you know what you want your logo to look like and you just need someone to create it or do you want someone to do the full service?
Logo design can range from £10 to £250,000 or more. Up to a certain point you are talking simply about the hours and skill of the designers but fairly quickly you get into the space where its not simply a case of them making a JPG for you but doing the whole brand identity/ consumer appeal - ie if you want to appeal to the 30-39 male in the ABC1 group are you better off with a navy or charcoal colour?
Others have already suggested a fair amount of options at the bottom end of the pricing so I will suggest http://www.eagleimagery.co.uk/logos/ who used to be getting close to a grand for a full service offering.
Whoever you go with make sure you get the image created in a vector format (eg AI), that you get it in that format and that you own all rights to the image. This will allow you to reproduce the image at any size without loss of quality and save a big bill in the future if your business is successful and the designer comes out of the woodwork claiming they only gave you a short term license to use it etc0
