Another one from MikeT at hotukdeals.
Don't forget to go via Quidco - and select Collect and Return under Hardware Support to knock £92 off the price.
I needed a monitor and speakers so this came to just under £288 for me, with Quidco to come.
EDIT: £8.73 Quidco now validated.

If you're not bothered about the keyboard and the mouse (i.e. you already have them), remove the mouse (it will state incompatibilty issues) this brings the price down to £170, then taking Quidco into account should see the price at around....
£162:think: Can anyone explain to me how to put a signature here?

I have lost count of the number of people who suggest removing the mouse. You can't it won't allow you to buy without a mouse. Quidco is based on the price less delivery and VAT so is not £8.0

Quidco on this is £4.75 and although most times it goes through is not guaranteed.0

As some said on Hotukdeals these computers have slimline cases, so be prepared to not be able to upgrade these much
http://reviews.cnet.com/desktops/dell-dimension-c521/4505-3118_7-32069566.html
The good: Puts the dual-core AMD Athlon 64 X2 to good use; improved support.
The bad: Reduced-volume case neither saves that much space, nor give you room for upgrading; no Wi-Fi option.
The bottom line: The Dimension C521 is significant because it's one of the first Dell PCs to include an AMD processor, and Dell uses it to good effect. Unfortunately, that doesn't save this system from Dell's failure to incorporate any of the virtues of a modern space-saving PC.0 -

Indeed, I bought this system from Dell back in March, but mine worked out at £400 ish including extra upgrades. What I didn't realise at the time was the slimeline case and this reduced the upgrades of PCI/PCI-E cards dramatically, but see here for cheaper-than-dell upgrades, I bought my GFX card from them for £25 and Dell was selling it for over £40 at the time.0 -

Would these graphic cards works with C521?

Sorry, two daft questions. Have just ordered mine with monitor.
1) is this easy to set up once recieved, ie internet connection. (will be replacing a computer already connected to internet).
2) Could the tower be laid on its side (space reasons)
Thanks0 -

How can they complain its not space saving?! lol
That has a narrower case than most desktops, but to work in the cases when adding drives or whatever in general larger cases are better in my view, also surely having more space allows for better airflow, thus a cooler PC?
Cheers

I'm a bit dim at abt PCs!!
but this looks like a good deal to me! Is it? Can someone explain if the memory/speed or whatever is good? Or explain what i can do or not do with this PC? I'm thinking of ordering one, with the monitor and 2 years service, comes to £257! 0
