Seaworld park and entertainment

Hi all
I am hoping you can help?
I've entered a competition and been told I have won a two week holiday in Florida. I was rather excited until I received the forms.

They are asking for a lot of personal details- DOB, NI number, passport number and driving licence number.

Can any of you advise if this is a scam or genuine?

The letter is from an address in London.

Thanks in advance.

    Highly suspicious!

The next thing they ask for a a minor payment for something not covered in the "prize" and if you give your bank details, then they have everything they need to clean you out comprehensively.

I had a firm try this on me a while back and checked with my bank - Their response was clear. There was absolutely no legit reason for a firm to ask for this kind of info.

So you did actually enter the competition? That's a good start, it would be more suspicious if you hadn't! Who is the Company promoting it?

I did enter a comp through family traveller who then said seaworld would contact me.

There's another comp on here with family traveller too so looks genuine

    Just unsure what to do.

    Thanks for you replies

I won a comp to NYC and I had to give all those details - they needed them to book and my win was genuine

You would be better asking this on the competition board where more people have experience. What is the company name in London?

It is seaworld park and entertainments. Holden place in London.
Googled them but can only find reference to the USA offices rather than in London.

Just don't want it to be a scam where someone clones my identity.

    Thanks

I can see why they would want your date of birth, and passport number but why would they want your NI number or driving licence number (unless a hire car is part of the win).

As a comper myself I still hope to get the WEM for something like this but take care.
I hope it turns out ok for you - don't forget the ESTA if its genuine.

We have got hire car included but I am concerned about the NI number.

It does mention esta but not sure how this would prove it was genuine? Are you able to advise as I though that was just to do with getting a visa?

    Thanks

No, what jonesMUFCforever meant was that if the win is genuine then don't forget that you will need to apply for ESTA to be able to travel (this assumes you are eligible for the Visa Waiver Program)

Why not ask them why they need the info? I've travelled to the USA many times and never had to provide my NI no. For any reason.
