Just a word of caution. Imagine there is a storm which causes the sewers to flood and damages your property. You may think that you can claim from your local water board.
Well if you do, you may be in for a shock. They may be liable if for example they have not maintained the network, but if they have done, it probably isn't their responsibility. An act of God so to speak.
In such circumstances your insurance may not cover this either. Worth checking your insurance details?
