Just popping to update the sig,
I went to a$da today (needed a prescription) and walked out with no other purchases. I did tour the shop with a basket, but couldn't find anything I really needed. I have been bulk buying too Larmy16, though I buy fresh milk and freeze, and I have everything I need already in stock. Though it was fun watching everyone trying to push their piled high trollies across the car park.:rotfl:
Wish we had small shops here - I live on the very edge of the city near a retail park, so I'm fine if I want a$da, next, matalan, comet and the like but a butcher/greengrocer/local anything, no chance.
We do have a very nice costa though - just can't justify the expense:D0 -
Well today was a small spend of £1.80 for a bottle of Ribena. I have classed it as a NSD as i was given £10 back that I was due, however, for the purposes of the GC I shall update my sig..........................
Only spend of the month so far so I am quite pleased. As for the snow - We had our first snow today and i am gutted I was a work Deff another one here who likes itEmma
Aug GC - £88.17/£130
NSD - target 18 days, so far 5!!0 -
Hi, just updating my spends so far. Did my weekly shop at Mr T's today and spent £40.23 which is much better than my usual spends so happy so far. I also spent £6 on some snacks for book club at mine earlier in the week so total spends £46.23 out of £250.
There hasn't been much snow where I am so I count myself lucky as I hate trying to get round in it.
PS Can someone tell me how I can add a signature to my posts? Thanks, Julie0 -

made a pot of broth, but its missing something
does anyone have a good veg broth recipe?
I used a veg pack from tesco as i knew i wouldnt be bothered chopping the veg, a lot of broth (steeped) roughly a tablespoon of paprika, some salt n peper and mixed herbs, 2 chicken stock cubes and a veg one, covered with boiling water, lid on and boiled for a good while and then left to simmer for ages....
I didnt have any meat defrosted, but im thinking of adding the cubed chicken i have (cook it first obviously lol)Hippeechiq I am hoping the Slimfast goes half price in the new year.
Last year I bought about six months worth from Tesco when it was on offer.
I shall keep some money especially to buy it. Last year it went to £3.00 per tin.
My ds takes it to work as he works very early morning shifts and does not fancy eating.
He takes 3 meals worth per day so a tin works out enough for 4 days.
I would love to join you ladies. I will aim for £250 per month initially.
That would be great if one of the big SM's had an offer on the $limfast. A$da had one on a couple of months back (as did $ainsburys) but only at £5 per tin....not really my idea of an offer, but every little helps, it's just that more would be betterAug11 £193.29/£240
