I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy :D
  • Feeling quite proud of myself as I finally managed to get my car up the hill & out of my road! OH & my neighbours have been doing it all week but for some reason I would get so far & then my wheels would just spin in the snow! Anyway went to the Co Op in search of whoopsied bread & Veg for us & the guineapig. Didn't get any bread but did get lots of packets of rolls for 16 & 21p. Still ended up spending £23 although £3 was on some half price chocolates for OH's xmas plus a bottle of wine, oven chips, lemonade, double cream, Utterly Butterly & Rolo desserts.

I have felt as if I have been taking 2 steps forward & 1 back all day today. Months ago I bought OH an Ipod for xmas that I managed to get cheap. It was in my wardrobe for months but the other day when I decided to wrap it, I couldn't find it. Today I cleared out ALL of my wardrobes & eventually found it. It then took me ages to find some sellotape (eventually found in a box in DD's bedroom) to wrap it & now have just spent ages looking in vain for the sheet of stamps I bought the other week to put on the envelopes of all the xmas cards I have wrote out. I am not a very organised person by nature but try to be but then it all seems to go horribly wrong. Sorry, moaning over now!

I'll swap you both then :)

The rain is really coming down here now - have just checked forecast again and tomorrow we're going to have varying degrees of rain: "light showers, showers & rain" & a high of 7º .....oh joy :(

Give me bright, dry cold crisp and preferably snowy weather any day. I HATE mild wet miserable weather, and I've got so much I want to get done tomorrow - all on foot :(

:rotfl:It's just jealousy! You should be so proud of yourself for doing so well - wish I could say the same at the moment!

Incidentally, (realise I should really pm you this!!) could you do me a favour and just tell me how much a box of Poulain Grand Arome is? We've run out and I need to ask a friend's mum to bring me some over and want to be able to give her the money in advance.

DH and DD are holding me personally responsible for the fact that you can't buy it in England - apparently No Other Drinking Chocolate is the same. It's the one in the orange box with a pony on the front (in case you didn't know!!).

Thank you my dear! Well done again - you have inspired me (depressed me yes, but inspired me too!!).

A quick G00gle, brings up this article: eB@y Buy Mil0s though I've no idea if that has anything to do with the item your old chap is after.

Had a very quick look on eB@y, but couldn't see the product on there, but I didn't trawl through all the pages, so that's not to say it isn't listed somewhere.

I have found something called Mil0 listed on Am@zon HERE

Am@zon have two items listed, but on looking quickly, both are sold by South African Companies although - unless I missed it - it is unclear whether the product is in the UK or has to be shipped from SA

Edited to add I've found some on sale at Harvey Nichols

I've also found a link stating that Te$co have stocked it, but are out of stock at the moment Nestle Mil0

Sorry LolaLemon I can't help as I've never made soup. If you go CLICK ON THESE WORDS Rosieben has kindly listed about 30 or so in the recipe index at the beginning of this thread. That might be of some help :) Although having looked, all the recipes are for soups (not broth) - or is soup the same as broth  I'm afraid I've no idea, but you may find something of use there.
    :D

Hia, thanks, i sort of forgot about that part! D'oh!
Yeah broth is a soup (Scotch Broth, a sort of thicker soup), it has a load of lentils n split peas n some other stuff in it, i cant remember what, i buy the packet and dump it in a glass jar and take out as and when i need to, but it needs steeping (for the barley i think??).
I think the taste is in my head, as im not too keen on the pre chopped veg bags, i dont think they do good wrapped in plastic squashed together, but ive been going to make soup for ages but when i get home i just dont seem to have any energy to stand and chop a load of veg so this should get me motivated to make more nicer soups :)
    heres hoping :rotfl:
