Hope the slow dating goes well :D

So the difference between 'speed' dating and 'slow dating' is precisely 60 seconds. Really good. It was just like a really good night out with nice people. Good company and I ticked 5 out of 12 so that's not bad. Only one I thought was boring and one who I thought was a bit strange. We'll see if any of them could spot a gem!

Two jobs nearby. Haven't had time to check out the company yet. Going to talk to ex-boss on Monday and do some research on Sunday. The good thing is it is CVs so its an opportunity to update mine and then put it on LinkedIn. It's a win win. :D:D:D

So now does the slow dating company see if you match with anyone elses ticks? I suppose its efficient! Good luck with the cv and jobs.

The company tell you who ticked you. Which was one guy, Richard, who I put a question against rather than at tick! B*llocks! Ah well, such is life.

After a chat I did not apply for the jobs as I think it would be too much like going back to a council. Going to pass the CV through to someone for checking though :D

Went (very tentitively) to a boxing class last night. Was slightly worried about depleting my T4 thyroid hormone and not being able to make it out of bed for a day.

Turns out it was fine. Helps that the class is run by my yoga teacher who knows all about my medical history. Worked around the pain in my knee (limited squats for me) and woke up this morning with no pain in my knee :D:D:D:D

So may move on to more exercise.

Pay day in our company is moving. So would normally have been paid on Monday, being paid next Thursday. May be a painful month! My tax returns from 2017-18 have also been held until the end of this tax year so not had them yet. Think I will fill the form in within the next week. I NEED THE MONEY.

    Speaking of money;

    Barclaycard £3661
    Santander £810

    TOTAL £4471

Yey - Glad your knee is feeling ok. Thinking I might like to meet a few more people here, and people have said exercise classes are quite good for this, might give it a go!

I find Meetup is quite good for that and any specialist interest group. Exercise classes too.

    Why are they doing that?

We have merged with another company. They are bigger. Their payday is 21st. It means you need to move your direct debits but other than that is okay. People make such a fuss over such small things.

Speaking of which. Went to the cinema last night (The Keeper - very very good film. True story too!) and met up with friends afterwards who were out for a meal. About 5 minutes after arriving I had the joy of sitting opposite toxic friend and started to think "Why me? Why am I sitting here?" I can't decide at the moment whether toxic friend is toxic or just a black hole into which all morals and norms of society are sucked and obliterated.:eek:

She'd been to another friends house. This friend has a new kitchen which she has not skimped on. Toxic friend was telling her what she had put in the wrong place and where she would have put it. Helpful, I'm sure you'd agree. Easily "remedied" with a chainsaw and a bit of glue if you are stupid enough to listen!!!

But the real belter was a conversation we had away from the table. It turns out one of my friends has been on a couple of dates with a new guy who has joined the group. Toxic friend said to her "Well you've only been on a couple of dates with him, so it'd be okay for me to crack on!":rotfl::rotfl::eek::eek::eek::rotfl::rotfl::o

.....this is a large part of the reason they have not seen much of me for the past month.....well that and too many holidays to pay for :rotfl::rotfl:
