Has SKY now gone HD on sports channels? can I save

This is what I read but on my box channels are still been transmitted in SD,awful though it is.

    Sky Sports in HD is only available as a new customer or if you upgrade to it, so basically once you come off Sports in SD you can't go back to it at a later date.
