Credit card repayments frozen - now have late payments on credit score

Just under 5.5yrs ago I lost my job and spoke to HSBC who agreed to allow me to freeze my credit card repayments for four months. They also froze interest.
My debt didn't increase and stayed the same until I got myself back on my feet.
Once I did, I made a lump sum payment the equivalent of around 6 months worth of repayments so I was back on track.
Although I appreciate they did this for me, my credit report states I missed 4 payments. Technically I understand why this was done, but also, as they froze the repayments entirely, I only missed 1 full payment, and didn't miss 4 payments continuously.
I realise I'm desperately trying to cling to straws, but is there any way I can ask HSBC to adjust this to reflect 1 missed repayment and keep the other 3 at a 'current' payment status?

Well really the markers should be changed to AP markers, as technically that's what happened.0

Thanks Gary,
We're planning on applying for a mortgage so were unsure if we should
1) wait until January when all black marks have gone
2) Apply
3) Ask for the AP to be added instead of '1, 2', 3, 4'
I don't suppose an AP 'looks better' than late payments?0 -

It's still a negative but I'd hazard it is marginally better yes.0 -
Wait until Jan when the markers have all gone.I'm a Board Guide on the Credit Cards, Loans, Credit Files & Ratings boards. I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly, and I can move and merge threads there. Any views are mine and not the official line of moneysavingexpert.com0
