Ryanair change purchased seat

Hi
My wife is going abroad to visit her parents with our child (1 yo) - she is booked onto a Ryanair flight and has purchased a seat.

I can now go and have booked to go on the same flight (under a different booking) however there are no seats available next to her.

Does anyone know if it is possible for her to change her purchased seat so I can buy one next to her? The Ryanair FAQs don't seem to answer my question and have had no luck trying to contact them.

    Can she not just go onto manage her booking and swap her seats?

    Have tried but there is no obvious way to do it. Can only seem to buy a seat for the return flight which she hasn't already purchased a seat for.
    Maybe there is a way to do it - just no obvious so far!

    Allocated seating/Change seat

    This menu comes up when I go onto the site.

    I'm sorry I can't see those options.

    I'm logged into my account and select "My bookings". I select the booking and the main options are "Manage Booking" and "Check-In".

    If I select "Manage Booking" the only options are
    Change flights
    Name change
    Update contact details
    Add special assistance

    Neither of us are currently checked in - maybe you are? Thanks for your help

    Try RyanAir LiveChat. They are normally very good at helping out.

    You definitely get the option to change seats when you check in, but if you don't want to wait that long and can't see the option then Chat is probably the best bet.
