On the Nationwide website you can read this:
You won’t qualify for the offer unless you meet the following criteria.
If you recommend us to a friend
You need to:- Have a current account, mortgage (excluding buy-to-let and commercial) or savings account held in your own name or jointly with another member
- Recommend us to someone else - you won't receive the £100 if you try to recommend yourself

It works within family, we referred each other with my wife and got the incentives, £400 altogether.0

Sorry to dig up this old thread but if I refer my daughter I assume we could both get the £100. Could she then refer me and both get the reward again?0

Not sure BarGin?
If you are going to join you could get her to do the referral anyway then see if it goes through?

Does anyone know if I can refer my husband in order to switch our external joint account to Nationwide and each get £100?0

If you've both had previous referral bonus it won't work, at least it didn't for me & OH.0 -
If neither you or your OH have had a refer a friend bonus then you can both refer each other and each get £200 (£100 for being referred and another £100 for being the referrer, £400 total between the two of you). Only one bonus is paid per account but if the account is joint then it will count as both of you having received a bonus, even though only a single incentive is paid - so it's better to open sole accounts each and then convert one to a joint and close/switch the other away.0

I already have a joint account with NW and in the process of closing my wifes Tesco account. Can I use a referral for this and get £200 or is that frowned upon?0
