Cashback when changing tariff with same provider

First Anniversary Combo Breaker
Hello,

will i receive the cashback bonus if i change my tariff with EDF to a new one?? or do i have to be a totally new customer.

Using the cheap tariff club system wanting to change from:


Online Saver Sep18

to

Easy Online Exclusive Sep19

    No, because there is no incentive for the supplier to pay cashback to an existing customer.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    If you have set up your details correctly and the Cheap Energy Club says that you will get the cashback then you probably will get it.
    I have in the past with E.ON but it is down to the energy provider at the end of the day.

    Just to confirm what gsmlnx says.
    If you have input the correct details to the CEC (or any other comparison site) and the comparison site allows you to still switch/transfer via them, then you will receive any cashback the comparison site indicates. :)

    If cashback is not available, it will becuse the comparison site will not be paid by the supplier. Therefore the comparison site will not allow you to switch/transfer via themselves. (since they won't get any payment for getting involved)
