Just wondering if someone could help.
We pay monthly for water and were being charged too much based on what we used. they sent us a new bill and amended how much we paid but it had left us with £70 credit on our account. I've asked for this back but they said they can only give it me in august as thats my billing month even thought I pay monthly?
Can someone help me here?
Thanks in advance

Hi, the monthly DD payments you are making are to build up enough credit to cover your new charges when your meter is read in August. The £70 credit that you have built up so far is to cover the estimated water that you have used since your last bill in February.
If you ask for the credit to be repaid now, your monthly DD will have to increase to build up sufficient credit over the remaining 4 months (May, June, July and August) for 6 months of water usage. (Feb-Aug)
Hope this makes sense!0 -
OP reads as you are billed every 6 months as is usual .0

Normally the new reduced direct debit will have been calculated to achieve a zero balance in August, taking into account you are £70 in credit now.0
